Doing a little rearranging in my shop to get the bed back on the chassis. Finished wiring up the bed lights and the instrument cluster lights.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
I was finally able to install one of the Saginaw 3 speed OD transmission's I have. Have to get the drive shaft shortened as this trans is 5" longer then my stock one.

Drove the old man into town to do errands. I do get tired spending an hour outside O'Reilly's trouble-shooting the tail lights... This time it seems to have been a fuse... I think.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
Removed the last 2 pieces of the original "headliner" material out of my Sub. Found a nice rusty spot above the dome light from where I had a magnetic XM Radio antenna mounted with the cord run through the roof. Going in for knee surgery the 18th, so trying to clean up the roof so I can paint the inside of the roof with oil base paint, then get some foil backed foam from Home Depot to put on it. Will have a custom headliner made after the truck gets painted, from a friend who does custom work here in the Verde Valley. Got some of the inside sanded today and removed the 2 6X9 speakers. I didn't realize how long the bedsides were until I started sanding them.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
Pulled the blower and made my own gasket because all the speed shops are closed and usually don't carry them anyways. Install a new msd 8570 and set the timing. My old distributor was so rusty it wouldn't advance. I pop the cap once in a while to look but I didn't think it was that bad. All in all it's been a good weekend and the truck is flying again!

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
Pulled what was left of the inline six and three speed manual trans out. Probably just a few nice days left then I am done for the season, don't have a heated shop.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
I got my new under bed tank installed and plumbed. Works great. Took it for a test drive and blew out a brake line. Bought new brake lines, haven't installed yet.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
I did a tape measure wheel alignment and took my truck for its first drive in almost three years. I upgraded to disc brakes, which turned into a crossmember swap. I added power steering, I wanted to run a later model serpentine setup. The one I found was attached to a 95 tbi motor with the 4l60e, naturally I left it attached and put the whole lot in. Cut up the original harness and stripped out what I didn't need, made it a couple feet shorter. The whole thing got out of hand. Everything was done on a shoestring budget. It runs and drives amazing, the overdrive is awesome. Still have a bunch of stuff to do but it runs and drives finally, going to make it a daily driver, it was before the upgrades with the original 283 stick.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
My truck had one West Coast Jr Mirror when I bought it. It has been giving me trouble for a while now and if finally broke at the bottom from rusting out, so I went with a stock mirror for now. I just put it on today and had to drill out the old screws that were in there for 50 plus years. I soaked them with oil and even tried heat but it was burning the paint Oh fun. I will probably paint them white. I saved the old mirror and maybe I can weld it back together. I had to use Gorilla Tape to keep it together.

Looks good! Do you have any more pics of that rear sway bar? Are you runnung Chopping Block up front as well? If so, I'd love to see some pics of their front sway bar if you're running one! I've been wanting to add front and rear bars, but I don't have the spare cash right now.
