Re: Wild C10 project

Well guys I'm sorry to say that work on this build will slow down dramatically at the end of this month. Just found out yesterday my 1 yr old son has been denied health insurance and he needs therapy 3 times a week and trips to Children's Hospital all paid cash out of our pocket. Needless to say the truck falls a distant second to my family. A big thanks to everyone that was on board and helping out, especially Bruce which was already working as cheap as possible and doing amazing work. May be able to do some small things here and there and hope to finish one day soon. Thanks...

Sorry to hear about your son. The new healthcare laws are screwed up at best. Hope you can get something soon for coverage for him. The truck will be there later, family first.

Yup, an honest man making a decent living not wanting government hand outs gets hit hard. I'm contract labor so I'm on my own on insurance...no doubt I have plenty of time to the truck done later, it's not going anywhere. Just don't like having to let people down.

Re: Wild C10 project

DANG! Sorry to hear about your son. Maybe one of us on here can help with legal advice or some other way with a special program or such.
Got to be a way we can make your life easier with this.
Lets get together and find a loophole!

Take care of the family. The truck will still be there. Hope all goes well and we'll see you as the small things happen on the truck.

Re: Wild C10 project

With the limited income now, we are going to try to get the cab finished up and motor mocked in...and call it quits for a little while. We have gone back and forth about the dash, previous posts have swayed me and I agree on installing a 67' metal dash in the truck. Just hope the 01 door panels won't look out of place...any ideas I'm listening...

Thumbs up Re: Wild C10 project

Wow!!!! I am truly amazed! The work you are doing on this sheet metal is truly amazing! I am in awe with the patience you have, to take the time it must take, to weld, and then smooth it all out. My hat is off to you sir. My prayers are with you and your family.

Re: Wild C10 project

Hay guys I was wondering if anyone on here is from Arkansas? If so do u no if there is someone around here that can upholster the dash after I make the 67 dash fit. That way it will match up with the 99 door panels? Thanks for any help

When this is all done and you're finally at the car shows. There needs to be a computer on a table next to the truck running a slide show with all these photos of the build.
This is just an awesome job!

That would be a great idea cause not everyone will realize what it took to get the body where it's going to be...going to have some people scratching their heads
