Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV

Raptor bed lining was applied about a year ago. No problems so far, but this truck is driven very little.

Right on, I've looked up some threads on this and it seems everyone is divided on it, but I definitely like the look and will probably go for it once it gets a little warmer!

Re staining the Bed. Previous stain was just
home brew for "aging" the wood
And distress. This stain turned out a bit
too dark....I'll give a few days before I think about
Trying to lighten it a bit.

That's really cool. Is that for functional purposes? What are you planning on putting on there?

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV

Last couple months got the engine install done, still trying to get carb. to run right, exhaust with Purple Hornies, way too loud, new brakes, rebuilt wheel cylinders and master cylinder, new wheel adapters 2" spacers for newer dually wheels, mounted new tires, gutted interior, seat is being upholstered right now, installed sound deadner, new fuel sender and tank. Old sender didn't work, pulled out and it looked like a boat anchor at the bottom of the ocean for 20 years, tank was all rusty too with a 1/4" hole rusted through the back about 3/4 the way up. Installed new gas tank neck gasket from Classic Heartbeat.

Digging the Ron Francis reverse relay dome/courtesy light conversion kit for our trucks. Did a quick test last night.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV

I bought a 66 C20 that on the good side is very original and rust free. The bad, it had been sitting for many years, not running, bad gas, and every hose that carries fluid dry rotted. I have been slowly working through the process of assessing what can be rebuilt, and getting it on the road. The end goal is a restoration and for me is to have a solid daily driver. Completed a clean and rebuild of the carb.
