Re: Where's the 3/4 ton love?

Just bought this heap with my brother this afternoon. We were going after a 1955 Apache but the older fella that told us about it was off by 10 years. Price was very cheap so we figured what the hell. There is a large nice brown rat that does not want to leave. Guess he is a Texas rat now we bought it in OKL and brought him home.

Re: Where's the 3/4 ton love?

IMO, uncommon sites, a 20 emblem that still has blue and red paint and 16" 2 piece rims. The positive offset of original 8 lug wheels floats the hubcap outwards. 1/2 tons do not have this look unless 17.5" wheels are used.

Sorry not a 60-66 vintage but long and low trucks can still be work trucks. My 2 owner '69 still works every week.

Re: Where's the 3/4 ton love?

Check this one out Sodly! This one got the love. IMO, the original owner had to be an airline pilot. Very meticulous recreation vehicle owner! This Jimmy has all the bells and whistles, from the factory and from the owner https://www.proxibid.com/1966-GMC-Pi...ation/67983999

IMO, the add on's don't impress me, the factory add on's do. Turbo 400 auto and Sports Trim options ( bucket seats etc.) This is the top of the food chain for '60-'66 GMC's! Would have loved to see a photo of it before the repaint, wheel change and trinkets.

You took the words right outta my mouth. Would love to see the "before" pic. The interior is great, tho!

Re: Where's the 3/4 ton love?

Many similarities between this '62 C 20 and your '61 Apache 20. They both have the V 37 chrome front bumper and hubcap option plus the molding option in addition to the Custom option.

All those options, but no rear bumper. Interesting!

Re: Where's the 3/4 ton love?

Here is my C20. I use it most days and it isn't pampered. What it lacks in highway gearing in the eaton diff, it makes up for with it's terrible mileage.
