Re: My Unexpected '66 SWB-Fleet-Restomod Project!
Man what a great build, i love how you're not just painting the crap out of everything, but disassembling things and painting separately and reassembling, it really takes the project to a new level.

A little extra cleaning, a little extra painting makes a huge amount of difference, attention to detail is well worth the effort X4..Vernski

I have been trying to move forward on the build, but work has been busier that ever before...It is getting tough to find any spare time right now! Thanks Flip, I can't wait till it is done! I am getting a little closer every day! (Very little closer) Quote:
As you already know many of these items on these trucks were never painted from the factory! I want this thing to have a very long life-span from here on out! As long as it is in my hands, it will be pampered by me, but run hard from time-to-time! I have gotten some additional paint work done on the body, but haven't taken any pics yet! Maybe tomorrow I can get some pics, and post them! Thanks for all of the comments guys!

Re: My Unexpected '66 SWB-Fleet-Restomod Project!
...I am having problems posting my photos as I have in the past.
Has something changed on the forum? Is anyone else having a problem? It says that the filesize is too large & if I resize in photoshop the pic becomes a small thumbnail by the time it meet requirements...

I'm having a heck of a time trying to post pics.
I created an account on imageshack, but can't seem to figure out how to insert them into my post...frustrated! I'll try again this evening, when I have more patience... Last edited by Modges'66; 08-03-2013 at 12:19 PM. Reason: cant seem to post pics! |

Re: My Unexpected '66 SWB-Fleet-Restomod Project!
I may, or may not be figuring this photo posting thing out.
but just in case, what you are about to see may be disturbing by some, and was a very rare opportunity to have been caught on film, but what you are about to see are factory installed rocker panels that have never been subjected to RUST! I hope that you can all endure this image. I know, it is quite breathtaking! Sorry I got this far, but don't know how to make the images smaller! Here are some additional pics showing my progress!...I think that I am an idiot!!!...But big pics are better than no pics! I'll get this sorted out!

Re: My Unexpected '66 SWB-Fleet-Restomod Project!
Thanks Don!
The entire inside & roof will be painted in this same color, I never thought that it would look this good, and it is laying-out so flat and really looks amazing! Thanks man! At least you can see it! Quote:
