Re: 68 pro touring, auto cross c10 (mid life crisis)

What makes what you where doing so special is that it was original and as far as frame mods go, cheap. And you taught all of us something, that alot of people can do themselves. Not everyone, but alot of home builders. Its not a two, three, or four thousand mail order bolt in mod. Your engineering lives up to the saying keep it simple. So come on finish it, sell it, make a bunch of money. Then build the bad full race truck and teach us all over again.
I know how it is to change direction mid way through a project. Then have a lot of parts left over from starting plan. When your all done its like, i need to build another truck to use all these parts. lol

Hows the cage looking? Before putting roof skin back on try you a sheet of your favorite sound deadener between inner and outer. Makes a huge difference.

I read this differently. Sounded like you had an idea for a new part, out in the near future. Meaning you were getting back on the build.

Take it from someone with a couple too many projects. Parting it out and selling is almost as much work as just continuing to build it. The simple solution is to just finish one of the projects, so you can move on to the next. I had the impression this build was one you thought long and hard on and seems a shame to back out now. Any regrets if it's gone later?

I just read though your whole thread and now you owe me a new pair of underwear. LOL. I have worked on a NASCAR Nextel Cup team, so I genuinely appreciate what you are doing. I really look forward to seeing this finished because you are doing something that I want to do to my '71. Thank you.

Re: 68 pro touring, auto cross c10 (mid life crisis)

Glen....you could put the truck parts up for sale with prices over in the parts forum with a disclaimer that you want to sell specific big items first before a complete part out of other things....OR you can put it up for sale as a complete project over in the "trucks for sale" area

Wow, what a waste of 16 pages... NO IT'S NOT!!! Whether you discard the project or continue/finish it one thing holds true, we all learned so much and got to witnesses your mind work in unconventional ways and you execute them with true craftsmanship. That is priceless. Thanks for the free knowledge!

Would have liked to see you finish it but I completely understand getting rid of a project. I have sold many part way through the build process.

Wish I had the money to buy that steering wheel from you. I love the smaller diameter with the 67-68 look.
