Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
Hey cheby what did you end up doing w/ your bed floor particularly raising your bed sides & wheel wells.Have you redone them yet? I'm about at that point & my bed sides are new. Being a mechanic not a bodyman my nerves are frazzled just thinking about cutting into inner body panels & I only want to do it once.Any advice would be appreciated! Mac

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
i am not raising mine anymore than i have .... i am just going to have to notch the bed floor , the raising the bedfloor is a huge job to do it right, like i said when i first raised the bed floor i wasnt planning on going anywhere near this low and i just wanted to cover my notch ,, so now i have a raised bed floor and a cut out, the nice thing is the raised bedfloor allowed me plenty room for my fuel cell ( which doesnt hang below my frame at all) and for all of my air ride to be underneath..... all that being said ITS A LOT OF WORK !! ask me any questions you would like i will sure try to help you

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
heres my driveline finally, set at a 5 inch ride height, made an aluminum 1.5 inch spacer block for the CPP carrier bearing, the rear shaft of the driveshaft is the CPP shaft with a 3 inch slip joint, i am going to cut off the hoop on the top of the crossmember and raise it 1 inch , hopefully that wont get into the bottom of my cab !! then i am going to cut off the trailing arm mounts and weld this crossmember into the frame

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
Looking at your truck , (and many others on this board) sometimes makes me wish I would have taken my truck in a different direction.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
there are some ridges that run up and down and are about 1 1/2 inches wide on either side of the radiator , you have to flatten out the last couple inches of those
