Re: Any other projects in your garage?

damn yall got some sweet projects out there! i got a couple but i wouldnt say mine are moving along quite as well as yalls. i got darlenne (66 c10), gertrude (90 jimmy), sharla (05 sierra), and master lazer blazer (02 blazer).
darlenne i plan on bags and a restoration. hopefully a nicely built straight six. two tone blue and brown.
gertrude is gonna be crazy. awd, 408, turbo, 3000rpm stall, 4l80e, 2000-02 ss camaro wheels, two tone black and red.
sharla lowered 4/6, cam the 5.3, magnacharger, built 4l60e, 4.56 gears. basically MY answer to the lightning.
master well hes about done. cammed 4.3, slightly built up 4l60e, gears, locker, 4/5 drop. all i need to do is c-notch, and tune.

Re: Any other projects in your garage?

Well, my pictures went away, so here's a more current picture of my '96 Impala with the new chrome wheels that I put on it awhile back. This goes to show that in spite of the crusty nature of my truck, I'm actually still attracted to shiny things.

Well, I drive mine every day, and I think it makes a fine family car. If you look at that picture closely, there's a child seat in the back. It's pretty safe with that full frame around it. It drives like a modern car, but still has roots to the older muscle cars that I like. It isn't like everything else on the road. Gas mileage isn't exactly Cavalier territory, but it's certainly better than most pickups or SUV's. 27 on the highway is achievable. I've had a lot of experience with these over the years, and I keep coming back.

My last car was actually a '95 Fleetwood, which is almost exactly the same under the skin as the Impala, including the engine and drivetrain. You can usually buy something like that or a Caprice/Roadmaster for less money, but still do the same sort of thing with it. I would recommend finding a nice B/D-Body to use as a family car.

Re: Any other projects in your garage?

This is my new little project/gas mileage car,
1996 Integra RS converted to GS-R
Main goal just to make a clean daily driver out of it using OEM parts.
The valve cover had some horrible looking lime green paint, so I stripped it and painted it with textured high temp paint then sanded it off the letters so it looks factory.

Installed a Beaks lower tie brace,

Needed some wheels after I picked it up so I picked up some LS webs, machined out all the curb marks then polished and painted them.

The other day I cut into my fenders and installed OEM Stanley side markers,

And just received these OEM splash guards in the mail.

Probably not every one's style on here but I like it, it it doesn't have some rediculous sounding muffler on it, it looks pretty good and gets great gas mileage.

Re: Any other projects in your garage?

Not a wheel project but technically in the garage. I'm getting ready to step the masts and start the shrouds and ratlines. Turning out to be a beautiful build. Been about 10 years since I've built a USS Constitution. This one is being delivered to Hot Springs, AR. this fall. This is why the progress is slow on the truck sometimes.

Re: Any other projects in your garage?

A few cars my dad has and the 2 I have. Hes got the 62 Impala convertible, 69 chevelle, corvette, and 72 monte carlo. I ownt he 64 impala and the 64 chevelle. the 64 chevelle is in storage now, but oyu can see it in the background of the convertible a little bit. The main reason I bought my 64s was because they're both factory 4 speeds haha

Re: Any other projects in your garage?

My 442 project been sitting for awhile. Also have a Trans Am but not any pics on this computer. Car was really rough lots of cancer and missing the motor and trans. I replaced the interior about a year ago and stopped working on it. Hoping to start again after I finish the interior in the C10, and save some cash.
