Re: Orson the 49 GMC ~ Chris C.

The new PCM arrived and we installed it, still no spark. This harness is junk. When you Connect the battery there is no voltage to the PCM relay or any of the fuses! And of course I am unable to contact the seller. $260 wasted! I’ll have to buy another one!

Re: Orson the 49 GMC ~ Chris C.

We got the steering column in paint today
We spent more time cutting out and replacing Michael's shotty work
We created and fit the Transmission tunnel
We even wired and installed those expensive turn signals

Re: Orson the 49 GMC ~ Chris C.

Thanks!
Today’s progress, we wired the ignition. The new engine harness came in, so that will be going in in the next few days (hopefully then it’ll be a runner)
we continue to work on that dash (it still doesn’t meet my standard) the dash is holding everything up
The back wall of the cab goes into final paint tomorrow

Still working on that dash
This is how we create the hidden stereo
Here it is mocked up
And I’ve decided to put a 2 USB power adapter behind the ashtray

Re: Orson the 49 GMC ~ Chris C.

Nice work on the truck and I've been following the build. My question is once you mount the hidden stereo in that plate you made, is it going to leave enough room for your wiper motor?

Re: Orson the 49 GMC ~ Chris C.

We spent all day fitting the front bumper, not quite done. Will finish tomorrow and move on to the rear bumper.
Switched sides on the brackets to tuck it up and removed 3 inches from the brackets

We welded them on and leveled and installed the bumper
We then mocked up and got 2/3 of the way done with the rear brackets
