Thanks, I like yours too. The front fender wells are just stock ones that I filled every single hole in. They have been modified even more now. I wasn't happy with the gaps at the lower section behind the suspension where the panels meet the frame. I welded up a flat piece with a rolled edge to fill it in.

Lol, thats exactly why I did the 59 fleet box about 10 years ago..... about 6 months after it was done, Gibbons fiberglass started making reproduction Cameo sides.Ah well. The top is chopped an inch and 9/16. I'm running 20s as well 295/40 on the rear and 255/35 on the front. Im thinking on changing to a 255/40 on the front?...ang going wider in the rear

Re: Show us your projects

Here are a couple of pictures of our 55 Suburban. My dad bought this in 1958. It had been in a barn for the past 14 years. We are in the process of bringing it back to life.

Re: Show us your projects

Thanks. Frame is complete. TCI front clip installed. 5.3L with 4L60E trans from a 2004 Tahoe sets between the frame rails, but still need to finish the wiring harness, cooling system and exhaust.

I would like to install a dash from a 55 Chevy car or maybe from an early Chevy II. Tail lights from a 54 Chevy car. Don't get to work on it as much as I would like to. My wife has her important projects too.

Here's a 53 3600 with the original drivetrain I'm workin' on with a friend. Hoping to sell it to someone shortly as a running/driving project someone can finish the way they want. very solid body, good running 216, complete brake system rebuild, new glass, etc.

Re: Show us your projects

Just got this 1978 K20 Bonanza yesterday. Got it from a machine shop and they even delivered it. Newly rebuilt th350. Engine totally gone through with crank tunred, new rings, valve job, new water pump, oil pump, gas pump, etc. Has gauge options an at one time ran a light bar on the roof with electric switch still in, wires cut and taped off. Has delay wiper, electric brakes and heavy duty trans/oil cooler.

Going to make it a toy hawler for long distance trips.

Been sitting awhile, so will have some major cleaning to do. Its 100% complete at least.

Re: Show us your projects

This is a California truck. The guys who owned it before me did a lot of work on it buy installing a rebuilt Chevy 350 engine, 350 transmission, and Ford 9" rear end. They did a ton of body work as well, plus a lot of work on the inside of the cab. I have since changed out the wheels and tires, and cut out the metal bed getting it ready for a wooden bed at some point after it is painted. I had to do some work on the suspended brake pedal by lengthing and off setting is as well as install a Chevy S10 gas pedal assembly(as well as move it in closer to the brake pedal) because they were a foot apart (now 3" apart). I removed the bench seat, cut the seat bracket out as well as the gas tank. I installed the gas tank under the bed between the rear end differential and the end of the bed. A new wiper motor made this system work better as well. My next project is to have the floor carpeted and install bucket seats (200 Chevy Silverado) and a console I picked up. I also plan on installing a Mustang II front end which has power disc brakes, coilover shocks, and power rack & pinion steering, as well as rear power disc brakes. Then a Vintage Air system. Additional interior upholstery will be in the works next fall. Then a paint job plus adding trhe wooden bed will just about complete the project. I will also redo the inside as far as building a full length console and moving the transmission shifter to the console as well as the radio. I cannot sit still. I just finished doing an off the frame restoration on my 1979 Triumph Bonneville bike and found myself getting bored. As my wife says "Big Toys For Big Boys". My reply was that I had to find new projects since I could no longer chase women.
