Well I finally got more than 2 days off in a row without a ton of commitments, so I worked on the truck a little.
I rebuilt the old front driveshaft that was clanking in 4wd. I rebuilt the cardan assembly with 2 new Ujoints and a new centering ball setup. I used a little press and it was not as hard as I thought it would be. Hardest part is reinstalling or removing the shaft thanks to the ridiculous backwards bolts on the transfer case output yoke. Thankfully it wasn't too hard to pull the seat and high hump out to get access from in the cab. I also put the old 235/85/16's back on for driveway plow truck duty. Runs really smooth now. I didn't balance the front driveshaft but probably don't need to since i don't use 4wd on the road. This is only on the roads in the summer and my personal driveway and acreage in the winter.

I hate that backwards flange !!! Of course I didn’t think about removal of the seat and high hump.. 🙄
