I could actually facilitate this, as I have my resale license in auto parts & accessories. And I use to work for AEW . But, the new design is still not readily available, so I don't want to promise much as of now.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

looking back to the very beginning of the thread i have been in contact with my vendor. i am a wheel/tire/suspension vendor as well and speaking to my contact and his manager he is still not 100% POSITIVE that they have been fixed... he as well has a early model c10 and is one of the first in line to get the new style. (i have seen his truck) he's not just trying to sell me on them. he hasn't pulled the trigger on them because they are not fixed. he is emailing me tomm. with updates from his manger so we will see but i was told beginning of january MAYBE!

ok guys here is the quote for the vendor i am working with on the wheels.....

"As of right now, we do have all sizes and finishes available in your fitment. Just let me know what you can put together (even if the sizes and finishes are a bit different), and we'll work the price down significantly for you." I am ordering mine today

Wow! I just called and talked to the Manager of the local American Eagle Wheel Warehouse and he said that they are just starting to trickle out and all that is available at this time is chrome. Who does your guy know?

Can anyone verify the BS available? I am interested in 20X8.5 and 20X10 in chrome with 5-5.5bs depending on what's available...

I think until someone comes up with a current "specs chart" (with all backspace numbers), and with current part numbers,... everything is just speculation.

Did you look at the website? It lists all the specs: http://www.bossmotorsports.com/wheel...ecs.cfm?id=408

The manufacturer has said (per a post a day or two ago) that the specs didn't change with the retooling.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

I sent out to get a quote from Mr. Wheel Deal (mrwheeldeal.com) this is what he sent back (these are for the grey wheels with 2@20X10 and 2@18X8):
Hello,

Thanks for checking with me on these wheels. I just verified that they ARE currently available in your fitment (ready to ship), and I can get them to you for only $659 in the staggered fitment. To complete the set, we have (2)255/55/18 and (2)275/45/20 Mastercraft Courser HT tires for an additional $449. This includes FREE mounting and balancing, so they'll arrive at your door ready to bolt on and go.

Shipping typically takes 3-7 business days, and will be $168 for the full package, or $89 for the wheels without tires.

I've personally served thousands of customers over the last five years (our PayPal account shows over 6,000 successful transactions), and appreciate the chance to earn your business. Please let me know if you're interested in moving forward, or if there is anything else I can do for you.

Thank you,
-Steve (Mr. Wheel Deal)

I then asked him about the fitment issues and he came back with this:

Hello,

The manufacturer has made (3) different versions of this wheel to correct the issue. We only sell the third, so you should not have any issues. If you you have any other questions please let me know.

Thanks,
Steve

That is what I was told today. They only made the centerbore larger in diameter and made the new cap longer to clear the grease cap.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

I've heard differently from wheel dealers though so I guess I was looking for confirmation. Here's info I just received Monday....shows the proper offset for the 10" but no 20X8.5 shown on Boss's site in chrome but he says it's available and comes in a 5.2 offset...
That seems fine for the front but the 6.2 offset seems a lot for any vehicle in the rear on the 10"....

Quote:
Price on chrome set up would be $1000. The offset on front is 5.2" and rear would be 6.2"

Let me know if I can help any further.
Thanks, Jeff Fite

Guess I'm lucky mine's packed away for the winter and I can wait until they actually show up and someone can measure.

My rears are 20x10 with the 6.225 bs, i'm not on bags, but if it was any less backspacing, the 88-98 trucks would rub on the outer edge i would imagine. Tire size would play a major roll in weather or not they would fit with less backspacing.

Ok, as you may or may not know, the main offices are here in Chandler\Gilbert. Today I talked to the main sales rep, not an outside rep but at the main offices. He told me that " these wheels and retooling them are in descussion and he was in a meeting with the heads where they were discussed" but as of yet they have not finalized the offset or the bore size or the cap. I have given him my # and told him I had already bought a set and was in for two more sets asap. He told me he would call me as soon as they were ready and we discussed a possible pre-fit too. I will let you know as soon as I get a call. I wouldnt hold my breath untill well after the first of the year.

By the time they come out with the re-tooled wheel, I'll have saved up for a set of Intros... This is the slowest turn-around in the history of man kind.
