Don't do glass filters in a high heat area. They make plastic or steel cased filters that do the job just as well.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: maxxy's 81 bagged c10 build

Have been so busy recently that the ol girl hasn't gotten much love. I did save up and get a new to me truck though. More of my time and money has gone into her to get everything right on the new one. sorry for the poor pictures, She's a 2009 Silverado extended cab with the 4.8L 2wd. I've been slowly getting the body straight(had it's fair share of parking lot dings and a few more aggressive dents) now she's straight. Next I will start having some fun making it unique.

Here I was trying on some ck807 wheels I had lying around to see how I liked them. It currently has the factory "chrome" steel wheels for now...

Here she is with the ol girl in the background.

Re: maxxy's 81 bagged c10 build

Heres a little bit of music to add to the system
custom fiberglass/ 3/4inch mdf sub box, that also has a little built in storage. fits flush under the seat. approx .75 ft^3, and will be port tuned at 34is hz.
(I will get better pictures, sorry)

And the actual audio components,
8 inch Digital Designs 1508
600 watt Digital Designs CM600
Precision ports 2" aeroport

Here's an actual good picture. Then a picture of the newish wheels I just picked up in a series of trades! U2 55's on a set of 305/35-24s. I know they're not terribly unique, but I have always loved how sleek the design is.

Re: maxxy's 81 bagged c10 build

Update: redoing the rear suspension. Here is a model that I designed using solidworks. its bolt-on to the frame, and weld on to the rearend. here is a picture of the bolt on shackle plates. More pics to come.

Nice design work! I like the Solidworks model. Nice to see a design and check clearance before actually cutting metal..... Keep up the good work.
