Re: SoCal checkin' in
LOL!! Yea, those two hotties can work on my truck anytime.
If the wife lets them. LOL Truckdrivin At first it was 150 to just do a valve job and replace the broken stud. Then I got a call saying it need a complete job and the harden seats needed to be install for unleaded gas. For my 283, thats in the truck now, I did not want to spend that kind of money. Money that I dont have anyway. Thats why I said it should go to my 350. But I need a truck right now due to the stuff were doing around the house. Once its done I can tear her down the correct way for a frame up rebuild. Its putting me behind sechedule. |

Re: SoCal checkin' in
I saw chatter about a possible little meet up in the Temecula area, is that something still being thought about? I'm gonna be there in the morning getting some breakfast, either Sat or Sun so let me know if there is any plans.

Re: SoCal checkin' in
I would rather try and get the FI up and running if I had the chance.
You do know the intake from the 289 won't fit do you? Also, that engine has the reverse flow cooling system. Should not be an issue but, you might want to get familiar with that engine's minor details. That is a great replacement for the 289 if you ask me. |

The clamp that holds the pedal rod to the accelerator rod. A breather cap that will fit a later style valve cover. Cottor pin and spring for the gear shift linkage. Other than that everything else is wired up, add water then go. Something tells me I will finish on Sunday Morning. LOL |
