The K5 is a work in progress. The Burb is a future work in progress.

They look alittle different now. Need to take some new pics.

I installed a 6" suspension lift on the K5. Took the 38" swampers from the Burb and put them on the K5. Then sold the 38" swampers and installed a set of 33" trailblazers until I can get the 14 bolt and 10 bolt 8 lugs installed when the weather warms up.

The burb rides on 33" BFG at's for now. Has a 6" suspension lift and a 3" body lift. The body lift will get tossed and the suspension lift replaced. Then the body mods will begin. One Day.

Just got some new tires......being as I am going to be keeping my 250, and I have swapped the 4.56's for 4.10's I don't think I will be going much taller tire wise. I might be putting a couple of inches of lift under it, but for now, the tires were a 'need to have' for some road bound work I need to do.

Anyway.....stock K20 suspension (probably a bit sagged after 40 years). 285/75/R16 Goodyear Silent Armor tires (so far, very pleased).

As far as the suspension height goes..............what you have is perfect...............I am running the same stock suspension and if you look at lifted trucks and then yours....................well...............to me the stock height looks best!!

I Just Picked Up My Bed From The Media Blaster Today. It Was To Much Money For The Quality. So I Am Going To Finish Blasting It Myself. The Bed Came Off Of A 70' Truck That I Have Had For About 12 Years. The Cab Is In Worst Shape Then I Would Like But I Will Make It Right.

Re: Post "Your" 4x4 pic here..........

On my truck tialgate, their was a bumpersticker... Built in america by a american... And something about unions... The union idoit that owned my truck perviously was a lazy unskilled man that screwed up everything that he touched. IE short cuts tape bailing wire, reaks of lazyness. Remindes me of the new ford truck add (love my ford truck the only way it would be better if it said BOB on the grill. Some of are soo shallow.
Good to see you fixing a true proudly built piece of American machinery and undoing more unskilled labor... P.S. the steering wheel looks like something straight outa puero rico. Nice 4x4 though!!!!

Thanks guys, i'll have to look on the rims to see if it says that. The steering wheel is awesome. Everybody comments on it, you can palm the hole wheel. Plan to have rust fixed and painted by end of summer. Thanks Daren

I have a little work to do.. It's a 4spd truck and I have a late model LT1 to go in it. Planning on 4" and 33's, I need to still be able to use the bed. Its a zero rust cab but the fenders and doors are not straight so they will be replaced. Gotta source a box for it still though.
