Re: She's a ton of fun (dually build on air)

Man, that wheel looked perfect!!! (as far as size, height, and tuck, not to sure about the red lug nuts, lol) I think that having all those options is a huge plus. BTW, any idea on the weight difference per wheel between the steel and aluminum? I think it would be significant, and I've heard it can make a big difference in acceleration. My only reasoning for steel on your truck was for color options, but now that I know what you can do with aluminum, I would choose them hands down!

I'm looking at Raybestos 5022R hubs for late 73-87 C30 Dual Wheel trucks. Does that number ring a bell? The illustration had a different PN, I'm sure it's another brand. They are from $120-$140 each---sound about right?

Actually PB60442 is a Wagner # it looks like. I come up with the same applications, but it's Wagner #60443. Go figure

Oh yeah! I forgot momentarily this is an 8' bed (not tight like the SWBs). I was concerned because mine is a trailing arm with a track bar behind the the big rear end housing. I'm all C30 front, and C20 rear with 30 dual wheels.

If you bag yours will you keep the trailing arms or switch to a 4 link?

Re: She's a ton of fun (dually build on air)

Yeah. I looked for one with trailing arms for that reason. I'm going to static drop the front with 3" drop spindles and 2 or 3" coils; bag and notch the rear with a shrader valve. I'll put a pump and front bags on later. Your chassis is a leaf though, right?

Re: She's a ton of fun (dually build on air)

Yeah I but like I said its a 127" c20 frame so it looks just like yours just with leafs instead of coils.
