Re: '68 c10 build
The wood floor debacle continues. It ended up getting a LOT darker than I wanted. Still have a couple more coats of sealer to put on then we will wax it. It looks nice, just wasn’t what I had planned. It actually looks better in person. I’d like to hear what people think, both good and bad. Thanks.

Re: '68 c10 build
Okay, I appreciate the feedback on the wood. The dark color would have worked and I was fine with it, but it wasn't the look we were going for. So we sanded it back down for the third time and tried something different. This is without any Sealer on it. I think I like it. A lot! If you remember, we were wanting gray to tie in with the center of the wheels.

Re: '68 c10 build
I like it. It looks good! If you really want a sealer or a clear, can you find and use a stain with a clear poly in it?

Re: '68 c10 build
That's a good idea. I think we have a good one now that is clear enough. Might darken it a little but I'm okay with that.

Re: '68 c10 build
My dad got the wood in a clear sealer today. Went ahead and sprayed everything on this time (both stain and sealer). We plan to sand it with 800 tomorrow, wax it, and call it finished. Been rather challenging but I am pleased.

Re: '68 c10 build
We weren’t crazy about the gloss finish so I resanded it yesterday and sprayed a semi-gloss on it. Waited for it to cure and got a start on installing it today.

I thought this was a cool little touch. The revolver is our company logo.

I also took a few pics of the truck. Most of these are with me playing with my iPhone filters.

Re: '68 c10 build
Thanks! The tailgate, rear tubs, glove box door, and ash tray still need to be painted. They are all body worked and just need to be sprayed. However, the paint booth was tied up with this the last few weeks.
Fortunately, the Mclaren left today so hopefully my dad will spray everything tomorrow. The tailgate script is already done in white too, so it's just lacking the blue. I also ordered the side trim and a rear bumper last Friday so hopefully they will be in soon.

Re: '68 c10 build
Again, thank you for the compliments on the truck. I asked the owner of that Mclaren today to take me for a ride. He said he got the new exhaust for it today and once it was installed he would take me. Should be fun.

Re: '68 c10 build
Yeah should be fun. Off topic, if you are bored sometime, get on youtube and search NVRENUF. A buddy of mine owned that 1200 hp GTR. I rode in it and there are literally no words to describe that experience.

Re: '68 c10 build
Pure insanity. I’ve been in a lot of fast cars and that thing was a whole other level. I would be afraid to even guess how much he had in that car though.

Re: '68 c10 build
Brief update today. We got the wheel tubs painted, rubbed out, and installed. The bed is finally finished minus the tailgate.
