Thanks Kim57.

I finished and cleaned up the trans cable mount. Started hanging sheet metal, cut fender wells to clear A arms.

Re: 1959 Fleetside REBORN

Any special reason for putting the fuse panel in the rear corner of the cab? I don't think I've seen anyone put it there before.

Just wanted to make room for the engine computer. There are 2 big bundles of wires and large connectors and a small fuse panel with relays.

We put the fuse panel for light, mirrors, doors and accessories in the cab corner. The engine computer, engine harness and engine fuse box with relays under the dash, with gauges from the OBD2 port. That was enough stuff under the dash.

Re: 1959 Fleetside REBORN

Well i thought I was going to post a video of it running this weekend but it seems that the item on the list keeps getting longer. For example a manual fan on switch. So we are not ready, oh and the steering pump, just thought of that! Had the ecm worked on by RPM motorsport in Santa Clarita so that's ready.

Re: 1959 Fleetside REBORN

with a proper cooling system you should not need a manual fan switch
i go to a lot of cruises that are stop and go for miles
all my friends have to park their vehicles and hop in mine to cruise
pretty sweet when they hop in and see the ac is on too

get 'er done

Aircraft mechanics have a fall back on matter what. Made a wire 2" long with 2 spade lugs so I could bridge the thermostats in my 1964, it still sits in the glove box after 15 years unused, but I have a backup.

Re: 1959 Fleetside REBORN

Well it's been awhile. So today we started her up, but we Have a wiring issue. We could not get it to turn off. I took power for the key switch from the alternator instead of the battery after kill switch, so even with the kill switch off it still ran because it was getting power from the alternator. Ended up pulling the ground at the fuel pump. Will figure out how to post video>
