Re: my 68 shortbed build
here are some pics from today, i got the diff pulled and took it to work to do axle bearings and seals and replace the pinion seals and crush sleve,
also got the c notch bolted in the rest of the way. im going to weld it in a few more spots also. i just have one question. how do mark the bottom of the frame to drill the 2 3/8 holes to bolt the bag to and the 1'' hole for the fitting??

Re: my 68 shortbed build
Looking good. I marked my holes by making a paper template with the holes matching up to the plate on the airbag for the fitting/bolt holes. Taped it to the bag with some painter's tape. Had tape under the template sticky side up as well. So when I raised up the trailing arms till the bags touch the frame, you loosen the tape holding the paper template to the bag and attach the tape that was sticky side up to the frame....drop the trailing arm/bags and the paper template is left behind. Mark, repeat, and drill

Re: my 68 shortbed build
yep, just bolt them to the rear and then crank the rear up and you're good to go! Don't worry...the bags won't sit evenly under the frame..they stick out more on one side...just make sure to pre-line up the holes before using the actual template to make sure they will all be under the frame.

Looking good. You're getting close now! Where did you get 13" fenders that are only 33" long?

Re: my 68 shortbed build
is it clicking at all? Maybe just not enough juice to turn it over since you were playing with the compressors? THey take a lot of juice....or did you mess with any ground wires and maybe leave one off? Also check the connection at the battery...mine would let the lights work but not turn over when it was loose at the terminal....tightened it down and it started right up...

Re: my 68 shortbed build
Check the neutral safety switch. If it's not adjusted right or unplugged, it won't turn over. I had this happen.
