3-spoke spinners have no place on a 5-spoke wheel (or any other except wire rims, IMHO).

It's going to be a while.
I bought them for my '86 Dropmember short bed project.
But now it's turned into a frame off shop truck/beater/ dual Dropmember build.
My old frame was bent,... so I found another frame and have stripped my truck completely down. It's in a million pieces now.

Here's a picture of my '86 when I first got it.

A few have started showing up in some of the outlying warehouses...or so I have been told, but I still haven't seen any myself.

To be fair, he did say "many" trucks, not all. He also mentioned a 5/7 drop, which is more than the 4/6 you have. But more to the point, most here are working on trucks much older than your '99 and clearance may be a much more significant issue on those older trucks. (Not saying it is for sure; just pointing out a possible reason why taller tires work on your truck but may not on others.) Not arguing, just observing.

Im not arguing but he was talking about an 88-98 truck i believe and thats what i have. Just clearing this up. I do know that its not the case with all trucks. I know different years have different clearance issues. Not trying to be a dick.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

Ok I contacted a wheel vendor who got in touch with aew on these and they said "They are on the third generation of this wheel (even though it's only a few months old), and they said that all hub-related fitment probs have been corrected." I asked about our years so we are good to go. I asked them to double check before I order but I am ordering 18x8 for front and 18x9.5 for the rear in chrome was quoted 843.00 free shipping included. I will keep you posted......

I just wonder if the backspace on the wheels changed in the process.
I would want to know those numbers before I ordered.

As was stated, this thread is not about fitting Boss 338's on 88-98 trucks only, which was the reason I mentioned this....
Quote:
Many trucks, even w/just a static 5/7" drop can only go about 28" tall on the fronts which is a 245~255/40-20.
Listing a particular size as a good size to use for everyday w/o acknowledging there could be possible fit related issues causes confusion when discussing trucks built from the 60's through Y2k. My statement isn't wrong as 28" tall tires on front won't work on many trucks (including my 74 w/a 5/7-ish static drop).

$57 for lug nuts? You said you got yours for $843 and free shipping, and that wasn't even for a group purchase. Not complaining, just confused about the pricing.

Having said that, please figure out pricing for various sizes and finishes if possible. I want staggered 20s ... in chrome ... I think. Depends on price. Might be content with the gray powdercoat if the price on chrome is hugely different.

Thanks for getting the ball rolling on this!
