Easier to jack off of the braces when it is sitting upwright. I used a floorjack in that area to align it. becareful if you roll it onto the firewall as the gussets for the fenders hit first

Mike- the bite that was taken out near the gas pedal wasn't very big. I think Jim also trimmed a bit of the flange from the center out

I'll be cutting the entire center "hump" out anyway, is that the part that you are talking about?

Looking good! That floor sure is a nice looking piece. I wish they made them for the 73-87s too! I'm really enjoying watching your build! Keep up the good work! ...Joe

You're rite Jon, it was a very small cut that I made at the gas pedal, the flange on the floorboard was cut to get a better alignment with the factory seam across the floor/ firewall area, just to keep them on the same plane. The hump area was moved around to get it to fit better, didn't have to take any metal out, just moved it for fit. Since Mike is going high hump, he shouldn't have any problems in this area

Thanks Jon for making this great pc. available to us...Nice work Mike

BTW, I think I found some steel headlite surrounds

Next it will be a driver when I start!

He's actually been working on his. He got the cab stripped down, just waiting on me to make some room in the shop so we can get started.

Re: 68 K-10 SWB build thread - project Money Pit...pics galore!

working later tonight so I decided to fix my cab cart and get it a little higher off the ground. This will allow me to work on the corners, rockers, pillars and vents at a more comfortabe height. Should only need to roll it on its back one more time to rhino line the bottom.

Here is the area that doesn't match up that well on the new floor. Right behind the gas pedal, it's not contoured like the firewall...

Maybe Jim can highlight the area that he cut so that it will fit better...???

Is the floor centered in the cab? looks like it should be more to the right in the high hump area. The flange on the floorboard looks alittle big, start in the center and work your way out. I can always take a road trip if needed! The only area that you haven't taken apart is the roof...lol

i'll do some better measuring this weekend. And that's a lie, I haven't touched the dash or back wall... yet!

Maybe it can set beside Jon's as a 4WD tri-pro truck!
