Not much the bed is stripped to bare metal it had 7 layers of paint on it filling in the stake pocket holes the gas filler hole I will post more pics when I get that stuff done. later Paul

I have a TBI 454 th400 or I might use a 700r4 I have. The truck is going to be BLACK with a gray interior 22 inch 5 spoke wheels and some other things.

After tonight's successful test-fit, I think this one finally qualifies.

(My minimal shop lighting isn't the best for photography)

I will have to say that it's pretty easy to just shorten the frame rather than graft the 1/2 ton rear clip on. The spring perches do have to be relocated though. As far as the gas tank brackets and such go that's all pretty easy. If I were going to do another one( and eventually I am) I will just shorten the original frame just like I did last time

How are things out your way?
when you refer to relocating the spring perches, were you using the hangers from a DRW truck?
I'm almost certain that the SRW truck hangers are the same width of the 1/2 tons.....

Some 3/4 tons have the narrow spring perches like all 1 ton trucks have -DRW and SRW.
