Re: Daverods project 66
i dont know either i think a Quarter Pounder is like 150 bucks so 10 lbs for 1.49 must be a great deal

Re: Daverods project 66
hey dave check out my photobucket at my headers on my motor.
http://s581.photobucket.com/albums/ss260/ruffrida2005/ These are the headers I'm using http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HOK-2466HKR/ Fit really good, I'm running a 350T and the left header is close to the bell housing but no clearance problems. You know I still haven't made a build thread I might need to start but I dont have anything more to show.

Re: Daverods project 66
Thanks Ruff I enjoyed the pics. Your truck is going to awsome. You better start a build thread, today. I like your headers because they don't hang way down. Even though I'm going to be putting my 350 in my 64 for now I might use it on my 66 later, so the headers work work better ether way. I think I;m going to get the ones you have. I'm going to leave the 3 speed into for now but I don't think I'll have any clearance issues.Start a thread

Re: Daverods project 66
The video was great. Reminded me of my days with the 1016th. I'm surprised you did'nt try to lower the hummer. spinners on a hummer that's funny. You should have welded some 50 cal. bullets on them.

Re: Daverods project 66
I'm not using the trailing arms, I'm putting 2x2 on the outside so I have room for the mufflers on the inside. I may end up making it a little diffrent. Like angle the front. But I did it that way so I can have room in the front of my bed for my 8 gal air tank. My fuel cell will take up all the back.

Re: Daverods project 66
Figured out what the problem with my temp lights was. The wiring harness that ran along the side of the valve cover was wasted. The two wires that go tothe temp sensor and the one wire that goes to coil where bare. No wonder both lights would come on some time. Put new wires in, good as new. Runs a lot smoother too. I can't believe it even ran with all the wires touching like that. I'm not sure what the one wire for the coil is for but it could'nt have been good. Wish bone kit is on the way.

Re: Daverods project 66
Yes the SD wishbone one. Gave me the intro price and bags. I guess thats helps considering the shipping was 120. It will be my winter entertainment. I don't have a compressor yet or anything so I'll just use my framing compressor to watch it go up and down.

Re: Daverods project 66
No, it was just a sale they had on here in the suspension part. Shipping turned out to be only $125. Cashed in some guns to get it. Never used them anyway. Now all I do is bow hunt.and mess with my truck. Least now I'll have somthing cool to do after I kill my big bull. Said it would take 3 to 4 weeks.

Re: Daverods project 66
well I hope you get it in 3-4 weeks. My crossmember took a while, but I also told Jason I was in Iraq and to take his time. took a couple months, They were supper busy. I need to get a hand gun, I'm paranoid that someones always trying to break into my house, so my shotgun stays loaded with buck. Iraq messes with a man, and 3 tours isn't good either.

Ya that's right. It's been so long I forgot how to run my computer. Must be that short term memory lost I've heard so much about.

Re: Daverods project 66
That be the kit. Now all I have to do is put it together. I can't wait. I can hear that frame hitting the concrete already, or was that the sound of my dog knocking my hood over?
