El Brutus "Johnson Bar" Screw Extractor - 1/4" Screw Capacity

Invented by a retired Air Force mechanic, the El Brutus doesn't care if it's a Phillips, Tri-Wing, or Hi-Torque. When all other screw removal tools fail, this is the tool to call on. Has a handy compartment to store bits when not in use. Folds up for easy storage. Complete instructions included. Choose from two different models.

I have to see if I can find something cool!!

It's a tool for small engine repair. I couldn't find a regular picture of it.

Re: Lets Play Whatz It? !!

Just guessing, but it is probably more a tool that was shown in the manual, but not used in practice.

I'm probably cheating, without an actual picture, but it is a real tool.

Thee is no such thing as cheating on this thread, anything goes, .....that reminds me , what type of small engine are we talking about ie. (a flathead 4 stroke or a modern ohv type) I wouldnt ask but this tool according to my sources is not very common.

I figured if you couldn't get it, Rush, I would have to add hints!

I'll make it easy. It is for a newer B & S.

Re: Lets Play Whatz It? !!

That's it!!

According to the manual, it is a gauge to space it out properly, when you use the "tang bender" shown above.

It doesn't seem likely that it would get much use.

Yup LOL we would just hold it with one hand and take some pliers and bend the little tab.Using a small tach connected to the plug wire. There really isn't any science to small engines.

Re: Lets Play Whatz It? !!

Serial #26856

11/2 Horse Power Gasoline Engine manufactured by the
Waterloo Gasoline Engine Co., Waterloo, Iowa
3 1/2" Bore X 5" Stroke - Rated H.P. at 500 R.P.M.

Organized in 1893 as the Waterloo Gasoline Traction Engine Co., the company started life by designing and building tractors. However, due to low sales, gas engines were added to their catalog around 1893-4. Around 1896, the company reorganized as the Waterloo Gasoline Engine Co., but continued in research and development of farm tractors. The result was the Waterloo Boy tractor, first introduced in 1912. Eventually, in 1918, Deere & Co. bought the company and continued the tractor development which has become today's John Deere. This Waterloo Boy engine was only produced in 1911, after which it was changed slightly and rerated to 2 HP. The basic engine on wood skids was $32 US in 1911, with the cart adding slightly to the price.
