Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build

Did i miss the a/c install? I saw the compressor mounting. I would like to see more pics of the hvac system and how the install was.

I don't have any more pictures than what is here for the AC install. Sometimes when I get working, I forget to take pictures.

I used the Vintage Air kit we sell, which was the Sure Fit kit. Installation went well. The only thing I would probably change, is go with the Dirty Dingo compressor bracket on the LS. My Kwik Performance that came with the Vintage Air kit caused some belt squeaking.

I know... right! I need to find one with a patina already. Or I can have one painted, scratch it up and let it rust some.

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build

Couple of questions, Ididit auto/tilt universal column length? Bed wood, where from? What generation is the Vintage Air box under the dash?

Truck is in mock up stage right now, then paint, need to get some stuff and have a few questions answered, thanks!

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build

It is an Ididit 33" universal column. The bed wood I got from Classic Parts and just stained it black. The Vintage Air is a GenIV from their Sure Fit kit.

Ask away, and we sell all these parts, so just let us know when you're ready.

Anytime my friend. That speaker plate is a nice piece and the 4" speakers really put out some sound. It is a good solution to front speakers, especially for those that don't want to have speakers shown.

I have a white grille with patina, I could bring it to Columbus Goodguys if you are heading this way in July

Definitely interested. Can you email me some pictures and price?
It would be cool to put the correct grille in the truck.

Travis,
I bought this for my truck based on your information here. I'm on the road right now but should be there when I get home later tonight.
Thanks

If anyone has any speaker recommendations other than kenwood, im all ears, they are very slow to deliver and its killing me.

Kyle,

I didn't see that you'd replied here. Sorry. Going in a 69 SWB fleet with C4 suspension, LS3/6L90 drivetrain. I don't even have a radio yet, just want to get the speakers in before it gets all clogged up under the dash.

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build

Thank you! I used the Hooker manifolds and they fit well, with a lot of room. We do sell them, and will see if I can dig up some more install photos for you. If not on mine, my dad is in the middle of LS swapping his '66. I will actually be helping him some this weekend.

Send me an email and be glad to send some photos. If you want to see anything in particular, let me know and I will grab some images when we drop his in this weekend.

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build

Thanks man!

I don't sell anything like that, but I just bought a small heim from McMasterCarr.com which bolted directly to the pedal assembly. I would look at what heims are available, as most are 3/8-16 if I remember right.

Its getting closer to the good cruising weather!
