Re: Project "Jezebel"
As promised. Still have to cut and buff but here it is in gun finish.
It's getting fun now! Working in a clean area bolting on new parts! Anyone need 5 lug Moser Axles for a pre-71 12 bolt? I didnt measure my rear and "assumed" it was a 67 like the frame. Imagine my surprise when the axles were not quite long enough to attach the "C" clips....

Here is bit of an update: Got my new axles in (the right ones this time ) and installed. Installed the front suspension, engine and tranny. When I installed the Vintage Air Front Runner Serpentine belt kit and rotating the engine over by hand I noticed I have a bent flexplate. It's hitting the starter... Now I have to pull the tranny and replace it. Here are some pics of where I am currently.

Update: Installed front suspension and steering components. Replaced the flexplate Installed fuel and brake lines Installed fuel tank Installed core support and radiator Installed transmission lines Placed cab and bed on the frame - PROBLEM..... There must be a problem with the cab mounts or the replacement bed I purchased because the body lines in the bed do not align with the lines of the cab... There has to be something easy as I cant believe the replacement bed is to blame. It's about an inch off! Here is what I am talking about. Any suggestions?

Re: Project "Jezebel"
Make sure you've got the right cab mounts. On some trucks the rear cab mounts are lower. I think its the 4wd frames though.

Re: Project "Jezebel"
Try switching the front mounts with rear ones , I did that when I put my cab back on and saw a huge gap at the top of my fender and pinching at the bottom

Re: Project "Jezebel"
Those look like the correct rear cab mounts to me. How about a pic of the front mounts?

Re: Project "Jezebel"
I think you having it on jack stands is causing part of the problem. Bolt the front wheels on and put it on the ground and recheck. You may still have to add a few shims, but I bet it is closer.

Re: Project "Jezebel"
Thanks guys, I measured the mounts and they are all the same. I haven't tried Rob's suggestion yet but I went ahead and ordered a new set of cab bushings from Classic Parts to make sure. On the site it looked like the fronts and rears were a different size. Until then, I will put the wheels on and see what that does.

Re: Project "Jezebel"
This might not be of any help, but I just purchased new bushings from Brother's. The front mounts are 1-7/16" tall and the rears are 1-1/4". I will be installing them this weekend. There also looks to be at least one additional steel washer (approximately 1/8" thick) in between my old bushings and the cab.
