Re: 66 c10 first timer build

Sorry last post didn't make much sense. I have to use my phone to do this so sometimes I screw it up and don't check it before I post it. My question was part numbers for radiator hoses. I don't want to go with the flex hoses. Thanks

Looks great, do you know if the wires are long enough to go down the back of the engine and under the headers?

Re: 66 c10 first timer build

Well I tried the plug wires under headers but there touching in a lot of areas. I was going to get diff wires anyways maybe with the straight connection instead of the 90's.

Hoses look good to me!
I have been messing with the same thing lately.
It is pretty amazing how one NAPA employee will look at you like you are speaking a different language when you are trying to describe what you need, and another will take it on as a challenge to help you...and those are few & far between, at least in my neck of the woods!

Yea I hear ya there. Nobody took it on as a challenge I just had to buy and try! I bought 5 top hoses before I got that one. And got lucky with the bottom and got it first try. Thanks for checking my thread out.

So what do you use to cap off all these extra outlets on this tank? I only have one inlet on my fuel pump. Thankshttp://

Re: 66 c10 first timer build

Well one of those will be for the filler hose and some are for breathers so you tank doesn't collapse or expand to much from pressure...not sure how you cap the breathers though...

Re: 66 c10 first timer build

Yea so if there are 5 holes, 1 goes to the pump, 1 is the filler, so that leaves 3 holes. Any thoughts out there?

Re: 66 c10 first timer build

I think they can be plugged....not sure. I'll do a little research. Start a thread in the 60-66 forum and see if you get some responses.

Yea ok. Thanks. I looked around and found out that one or maybe two go to the fuller tube for vents. So I'm slowing getting it.

Re: 66 c10 first timer build

That's right! Now that you mention it! One does goes to the filler tube! I forgot. Mine has an in-cab tank so I don't have to worry about it...So, one for the sending unit, one for the filler neck, and one for the filler neck vent(so to speak), and one more....Ya could probably put two on the filler neck and be fine.

Re: 66 c10 first timer build

I have the exact same tank kit installed and attempted putting the box on today. One crossmember is directly above the filler neck and rests on the gas tank as u mentioned. What did u end up doing to reinstall your box?
