Re: Jason's 70 Big Block SWB Project

We didn't do anything today for the "4th" so I tinkered on the ole truck this morning for a while. Started out with some wiring on the tail lights, things didn't go my way, I messed up two crimps on the AAW kit. Going to have to call them Monday and try to get a couple more connectors, started on some ground straps and broke a couple screws off. I decided to walk away from it for the day..... I sat down this evening and started a list of all the things I need to buy to be finished, I guess I'm not as close as I though I was. Anyway, tomorrow, wife and I are going to hit a couple of car shows

Thanks Ben, here is a pic of the connector. It will be the one that goes into the side marker light, so a 194 bulb will push into. I need two that have the wider crimp area for two wires to crimp together. They only sent exactly enough in the kit and I forgot to tie my wires together before I crimped them. ( my bad for getting in a hurry ) Let me know if you have any, Thanks

Sorry Jason,
Don't have any that style or I'd send you a few, we have a supply company here local and I usually can get those for $5 for a box of 25. I'll be glad to check if you'd like

Re: Jason's 70 Big Block SWB Project

9 days at work down and 1 more to go tomorrow then home for a few days. I should have plenty to do this weekend other than the normal catching up around the house. AAW sent me some of the wire connectors I screwed up, got my front and rear bumpers from GMCPAULS, my headers come back from getting ceramic coated, sound deadener for the floor and doors, and I ordered carpet from Kyle (Laidbackrecreations), not sure if it showed up yet. My wife went to the beach this week so I'm not sure what all the "brown truck" brought. Not sure how much I'll get done, but we'll see.... Probably take a day Saturday and go to the AutoFair show in Beckley WV.

Hopefully nothing else comes up this weekend. I always have big plans when I come home from work but it always seems like everything else needs to be done also....

Re: Jason's 70 Big Block SWB Project

I got home from work this evening and it looks like I have a few "goodies" that showed up. As far as the coating on the headers I would defiantly recommend this company, Nitro Plating, they are out of Nashville TN. They look really good just have to see how they hold up when I start driving it... The bumpers from GMCPAULS looks to have a very nice finish on them as well. Hopefully tommorow after I get the grass cut and go to the DMV I can get busy on the truck!!!
( my F-150 has had an expired inspection sticker and dead license since March )

Re: Jason's 70 Big Block SWB Project

Let There Be Light!!!!! I worked yesterday and today on the wiring, it was raining here all day so I didn't go to the AutoFair in Beckley today. I got all the lights finished, new horn wired, and ran an Alt. light to the dash to make it charge. Got the front bumper put on and the headers bolted back on. It quit raining this evening so I backed it out of the garage for a while and let it run for about a half hour. Happy, Happy, Happy
