A talented metal worker like you? I say go for it. I'm sure the hubby would appreciate the custom work.

Re: Jans 53

Steve is doing great we were back home 6 hrs after he came out of surgery. Been scooting around with his walker to the mail box and some short walks. Some of my truck time is being taken up with extra chores but I’ve managed to squeeze the truck in. Been working on getting the hinges shipped out to people.
So I’m doing close examination of body work looking for pin holes and last minute repairs. The temp here is already getting so hot 109 on Monday. Not sure how much will get done this week!

Congrats to Steve. 109 is miserable! Stay cool.

Hey Robert, good to hear from you! I’m assuming you’re also stuck in body work jail. It gets awful boring but it is what makes 95% of the paint job. Keep at it!

Gregski put on your heat shield next thing we know the whole state will be on fire again. So much for keeping things that cause cancer out of California. The good new is we’ve been practicing wearing masks for a year and a half now!

Re: Jans 53

I have beat on fenders, sanded, beat on fenders, sanded, welded, ground the welds, beat on fenders until I'm just tired of it. So what did I do the last 3 days? Sanded on fenders for a friends Harley. What a break that was!

John, it’s always good to see you too! I need to finish installing the new hinges on my truck before I end up with none left.

Just read the whole thread, wow you’re doing AWESOME work and admire your attention to detail and dedication. I have a lot to aspire to. I’m working on a 54’ AD with a 6.0L and it’s been quite the journey. Keep your posts coming.

Re: Jans 53

Took a break from body work today and put some time in on my bed. Changed some things around so that the bed can be removed all in one piece if I choose to. Tomorrow I will look at welding in the new hinges I had cut out by send cut send.

Thanks Marc, I go see the orthopedic Dr tomorrow.
Already know it’s broken and ground through the nail down to the bone. Hoping it will heal on its own but don’t think that fingernail will come back.

Oh my goodness Jan, you're a tough cookie! You'll be back at it in no time, I'm sure.

Re: Jans 53

Oh No!!!!

I always put Neosporine on all my Boo Boo's

Looks like that calls for a little bit more than that

I hope it heals well for you.

I have had some major cuts myself.
