I was just thinking about this when I was paging thru this thread. I like low and wide, stockers, patina and shiny.
I seem to like 'em all. But, for the dream-one in my garage, there's "too radical" in all of these categories (even bone-bone-stock).
But like I say, that's just for my taste.

That's also what's so cool about the differences we bring to these sweet trucks.
those gm choke deletes are bad@$$!

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

I'm truly inspired by anyone with the will & vision to do anything to OLD trucks.
its to easy to buy new & make payments.

I cant find anything I dislike on this entire site!!!!!!

You all know... you are among the people... whom... like it or not enjoy a classic! any shape or forms you can find something that peeks your interest, maybe its not the whole project, but just something that you can agree on that fits the bill!

Just a FYI.............. that's what makes this site & all of us.......... family!

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

last I checked this was a thread for pics, not truck bashing.... my dad taught me at a very young age that if you don't like someone's classic car or truck then keep your mouth shut.... it looks to me like some people never learned that lesson.

Are you wanting fresh bedwood or would you consider some "weathered" bedwood? I still have the red oak I pulled out of mine during the resto. It's still in pretty good shape, but I replaced with fresh ash.

Are you keeping the rallies or do you plan to change wheels?

I would entertain the idea of weathered. My last ride I built was a 68 Camaro SS full frame off pro touring, 50K car. Once It was completed It was too nice to daily drive and she just sat in my garage until I was forced to sell her a few years later.

I am not interested in doing that with this, don't have the money now either. Eventually I would like to switch it all over to 5 lugs and run 17/18 Coys. How much and can you send me some pics? What a pain in the ass to ship wood.

Haha, this one is not mine, but it is my "blueprint" for my dream truck I guess you could say.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

Not much to it (yet) but here's my new 69 project. I just bought this truck pretty much like you see it. It had a new 69-72 front end on it but I am changing it over to 68. (Just my personal preference, nothing against the 69-72 front end)

This truck is a frame off project a guy started a couple years ago and lost interest. The cab is 100% rust free, new mounts, corners, rockers, etc. they did a great job on the replacement work too. The frame has been blasted and cleaned up / painted nicely. The gas tank relocated, all new fuel lines, 73-87's front end swap for discs. Really a nice old truck and a great start for something I plan to build to keep. All the hard work is done. I'm probably going back Hugger Orange with a white top. It will have a 69 date coded 396/350 (has been masaged a little ) I will probably drop it with some sort of Coys or Intros as the money will allow. I want to get it back on the road first. I'll post more pics as it progresses. i'm going to drop my engine and trans in next weekend.
