Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Found a few more wires to replace on the back half, done, Wired my sending unit and fuel pump (waiting for relays), almost done. Took my gauge cluster out and started installing my Autometer tach (in the center hole. I'll finish that tomorrow and get it back in.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I like the cutoff wheels, seems more precise, use the thinnest ones you can find. Sawzall, air powered body saw, spot weld drill, air chisel, BFH... You'll use it all.
Did you get your patch panels already? You can use a bunch of big magnets to hold stuff together for welding. A big hunk of brass behind the weld will support the cherry and sink heat out of the surrounding metal while you weld. And flapper wheels for dressing your stitches work great. Go slow, too much heat in one spot is gonna warp the panels. Next thing you know, shaved door handles and chopped tops. Posted via Mobile Device

I was going to get them today, but Jr was not feeling good today so I will go tomorrow. The thing is, I really have no interest in welding. Thus why I was going with one with no gas. I know everyone said gas is best, but my problem is I dont want to spend the money on something I'd rather pay someone to fix. Just me I guess. |

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Took my used Pro Comp rims down to my mechanic to get some used tires mounted on them. Got some for $30. Someday I'll work again and be able to afford nice new ones.

Took the truck for a little spin to check out the tires and I hear ticking. Time for diagnosis.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Took a few more baby steps on my truck today.
I wire brushed the rain gutter and rear cab upper seam above the back window, then sprayed rust stop stuff in them. I used the stuff that O'Reilly's store has. I am still having problems getting my act together, but I finally decided to start at the top and work my way down.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Test mounting my new Torq Thrust wheels that I got from my brother who had them for his truck which was wrecked almost 8 years ago. Wheels have just sat in the boxes and never been mounted!
20x10 for the rears, and 18x8.5 for the fronts. I had 2 Nitto Invo 295/35/20 on my Impala project, so I dismounted one of my Coys and put the Invo on the Torq Thrust and mounted to test fit. Still deciding if the backspacing is right....

Have my rear 24's on my bagged truck. The engines out for freeze plug replacement and it'll be going back in this weekend.
