Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
Hello All
New to the board and thought I would post a few pics of my 1982 K30. I have had 4 or 5 square bodied Chevys but this one is by far my favorite so far. My Wife, kids and I made a 2400 mile round trip from Colorado to Washington state to pick up this beast. The price was right. Originally I was just looking for a good solid work/ hunting truck to beat around in with my boy but now we have decided to do a full restoration/ build on this. Right now it has a rebuilt 350/rebuilt th350/np205. New drive lines and rebuilt rear end with a new grizzly locker. I have already junked the original Qjet and cast intake for an Edelbrock intake and carb and a set of Edelbrock chrome valve covers and air cleaner. Made a huge difference in how it runs but it still needs more power. My build plans include Full repaint and new cloth interior 2.5" Procomp lift kit swap in a 454 and 700r4 trans Last edited by Lang's K30; 05-24-2012 at 12:27 PM. |

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
Welcome and great looking crew! Mine has the 350 also and was a little anemic too. I stuck a 177 weiand blower on top, now it runs better than any big block crew I ever had. Picked up 1 mpg too!
P.S. More pics please (interior,etc.) |

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
thanks guys, it took alot of looking to find one in decent shape to do what i want with it and this had a good majority of the work done, i am pretty happy to have it. the tires are 315/75r16 toyo open country mt's. the suspension is a 4in all spring not sure of the brand. it already had the lift i added the wheels and tires.

Specs-
Front springs are 8" Alcans. Rear springs are 4" Alcans with a 4" DIY4X shackle flip. Tires are 11r16 Michelin XL's. About 39" tall. Cross over steering arm is a Ballistic Fab spring-less arm on the pass side, spring-less cap on the drivers side. Bronze king pin bushings to replace the oem plastic. Tie rod is ORD's 1.5" .375 wall DOM HD unit. Drag-link is ORD as well. TBI 454 from a '92 'burb. TH400 from Monster Transmission. D60 front, D70 rear. 4.10 gears. 42*, .120wall long slip High Angle Driveline front drive shaft. ($1K!) Ported (for hydraulic assist steering) PSC steering box lowered 4" on the frame to help with drag link angle. 12k Ramsey winch on a bumper that I built. Odyssee PC1750 battery and power master 140amp alternator. And big stupid napa mudflaps to keep the highway patrol off my nutz. |

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
New to the forum, just picked this up over here in the UK. When I saw it for sale I found this thread while searching for some more info on the model and 171 pages later I was inspired enough to buy it. She's a bit rough round the edges but all adds to the character!
