TX Firefighter has a real good thread in the FAQs section. You shouldn't have to drill anything.

This belonged to a lady's ex-husband and she got sick of it being in her

yard so she put it on Craigslist and I snatched it up...Complete with tail

gate. By the way she was trying to make me take a bunch of chevy stuff but I thought I got enough with the bed...

She said it was rusty, yeah more like just surface rust ....Think I am just gonna spray it the way it is with Hot Rod Flatz Race blue then cab to follow when money tree permits....

Have a good one guys/gals

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Packing up the3 bed full of motor, trans, steering column, extra parts I might need, extra parts I don't need and towing my 64 step down to Tucson to my brother's place.

He said he could put it together, but man I just don't know if he can.

Wait and see I guess.

I had plastic wiper arms on the truck when I first bought it in `93, running down the road with traffic raining real hard , I`ve got the wipers on high and the right one flew off and hit the car next to me at the light, thank god the driver had a sense of humor he just started laughing.

This has happened to me twice! once in a downpoor in a dodge the drivers side flew off I had to lean over fast and look out the other side. intill i could pull over to swap it over. then last year I had jiffy lube put knew ones one the company truck. they both flew off as soon as I turned them on
I stopped and picked them up. and like a MORON I drove down there in a absolute deluge to make them put them on correctly. Well, they sent out a young girl, that was so small she had to bring a step ladder. To stand on, in a epic downpoor. while all six foot four 245lbs of my embarrassed *** sat in the the truck and proved a point. horrible expierence.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, well I fired it up for a short time yesterday, first time in about a year, popped right off sounds nasty, anyway had a leak at the cooling lines (700r4) I ran the lines right in but need fittings between line and tranny, I had two in my box they fit tranny and not return line, I will hunt some down tomorrow, hope you all have a great turkey day
