Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

Loved this build from the beginning, especially the reason you built it, so I'm not asking this to be smart, but because I'd want to be seen everywhere in that ride, so the question is do you drive it and if so how does it drive?

I have about two miles on the truck. It is not tuned yet and I have to fix the bugs. Then my plan is to show the truck see how it does at the indoor shows. Then I will drive it alot

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

I can only imagine how hard it would be to haul this truck around and set it up at shows in fear of dinging it up (Do I recall a load shift in an enclosed trailer several pages back?) let alone driving it! That said, hurry your azz up and get this baby on the road! Kidding of course Need more photos man!

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

Lol you can say that again, this truck hates the trailer. I tacoed the passage side bumper pulling it off the trailer at Sema. I caught the bumper on the cable on the door and ruined the bumper. It is very nerve racking. I had to go to Henderson Nevada to get a new bumper. But the little I drove it I had a blast. I need to get it tuned before I drive it because right now it loads up because it's so fat

Eric, I know it's been said before but those Delmo wheels really look right at home on Tootsie. Gives her that old school look. Whichever set of wheels you run, you cant go wrong. Tootsie is just plain bada$$ !!!

So what's wrong with the bumper beside it being perfect for a super perfect build.

oh it looks good now because the front bumper is new. But the first day we got to Vegas I caught the bumper on the cable that holds the door on the trailer. The cable bent the hell out of the front I mean it made a taco out of it lol

LOL I know right. I would drive it right now if it were not for the fact that I would be cleaning the truck for weeks to get it ready for the grandnational

I am going to be taking a break for a while. My wife wants me to focus on the backyard and my kids want a pool. So that is were my money will be going. I am building the air ride trailer and a bike with Brendon Thompson from OCC and elite metal design. The bike will match the truck and we are working with Accuair on the trailer and the bike. Both will have air ride

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

Looks like you rubbed a bit. Is a shorter tire in order? I don't see you driving higher...

What are the two trap doors for? I can tell it's a filler location, but for what? Nice tough by the way.

Oh ya I will always drive low. I wont change the tires. I will put bump stops in the front to protect the tubz

One is for the inner cooler and heat exchanger filler. The other one is for the over flow tank.

Thank you guys. I would not have it any other way. I wont be going to Detroit. Just to far away. One thing I learned at Sema that was very humbling is that there will always be someone with more resources then you . The cars that compete at the riddler are unreal I am sure you have seen these cars first hand. They are works of art and can take 2 or 3 guys 5 solid years to build one of these cars. Most are over 1 million in labor to build. I don't know about you but I can't compete with that. So for me I am happy with Tootsie and I am proud of what I built, but she cant compare to one of those cars and I am ok with that. I built 90% of it and that's what matters to me. I am happy that the board members appreciate my builds.

When you are done showing your truck, you will be able to drive it and feel comfortable about it. The Riddler cars will sit in someones museum and slowly decay,
I love the fact that you personally have done most of the work. Thats true skill and artwork. You 'Da Man' Eric.

I fully agree with you on this. I think the cars for Riddler are cool and have a place in our great hobby, but for me your last statement is what I think its all about!

Eric, you did a outstanding job on Tootsie and now its time to show it off and enjoy it!
