Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
This is the Casselman River Bridge (aka Little Crossings Bridge) on the National Road in Grantsville, MD. The National Road was the first national road and this is one of the first hiway bridges in the country. The first ones would be east, the direction the road was built from. The National Road provided a route west over the mountains to connect Baltimore with the Mississippi River in 1813, long before the automobile. It became US40 once the Federal Hiway system organized. So, this was a bridge on coast to coast US 40 through '33. I remember when I was a kid it was a park but you were still allowed to drive cars across it. It's a sight to see in person (I didn't take the last picture )

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
They didn't listen to Lowe's. Looks like they stopped improving
Or maybe this was this some kind of field test

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
Thank you gentlemen. It's been a while since I have had a project of my own. After doing the C10 for my son I decided I wanted something. Right before that though I agreed to do his Camaro so my bird will be a long term project for now.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
When I bought the 395xp new in 2019 had a 36” bar on it. I put about 12 tanks of gas threw it. Then I ripped into it .

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
This 1800s house where I'm working was built along a railway. It was a short line that only ran from the ore mines to the furnace, about 13 miles. Long gone without a trace, other than the grade. His long lane back runs along the grade that's grown over. Where you curve to go around the house, if you look straight back into the woods you see the long straight cut. I can't describe, but it feel very different back in there. I guess you can sense the history

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
I used a 3120xp for a couple of days . Dealer (a good friend) let me use his when I was deciding between it and the 395xp . The 3120 is 119 cc’s lots of power but it’s heavy . The 395 is 94cc’s but it more manageable . Looked at the 880 Stihl but the dealer wouldn’t budge on the price . Don’t think they can discount their saws has to be a corporate sale price . They even go after people selling new ones on eBay .

How about this place I know nothing about. The soil and rock are red in this area which is where Francis Scott Key's estate , Terra Ruba, is located The house is the same stonework. This building is a corn crib. Just the ends are stone. The rest is framed with vertical wood slats.
