Do the bedside braces help keep the bed quiet when you go over bumps? That's one thing about my truck the bothers me...that hollow metal box sound whenever I go over bumps.
Yes those braces are solid as a rock. Very little movement but little over kill lol
How is the interior coming along?
Slow I am going to try to have inside of cab painted by next weekend

Thank you but they were trying to show off there audi kit which now they have decided was to complicated to install and are not going to release it. Reno and his crew are very smart guys. I am hoping they will use it next year with my one off air ride trailer and air ride bike.

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

So we have been building panels for the bottom of the cross member front of the frame and the center of the frame. Also built a cover panel for under the bed to cover the wires. They will be painted by next weekend.

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

Rob I had to cover were the drive line is because the frame got scratched when we pulled it off the trailer at the brothers show. There is so much tube work under there its still crazy. The front panel is there to cover all the hoses from the intercooler. The ones on the cab do not cover the frame only the bottom of the cab.

I totally understand Eric, but the chassis is a work of art and should probably be in a museum.....

Lol it is a really cool frame Nate out did himself on it. I just don't want to pull the truck back apart to fix the frame. I am done pulling it apart. I will have it finished 99% by the end of the month

At least you have a lot of pictures. I think it would be cool if you bought a nice digital picture frame that runs on batteries to display at cars shows.

This sounds like an awesome idea! What others will see if you do this...

Eric, you and everyone involved with Tootsie have outdone yourselves. You've set the bar so high, most of us will never be able to reach it on our builds. Stellar work as always.

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

I really like the panels. The only suggestion I would make (from a guy with 0 builds under his belt mind you... would be to do a bead around the u-shaped portion to make it resemble the dimple dies. Obviously you have a bead roller from the awesome detail you did on the panel, I think it would finish that section around the strut a little better if you did something to it. It does appear to be a little tight on real estate there though, but maybe it's just the angle?

Either way.... I'm digging it!
