Re: Project Vitamin C-10
yeah its a couple who own it, the owners name is jeff and he's a super guy. and I have been there a couple times since it's so close to the house, they usally have a good turn out but looks kinda slim this time, probably because of the rod run, they also do it every month as far as I know, next time your out this way give me a yell, not sure if you still have my # or not, if you don't just pm me and i'll give to you.

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
Well I hate to admit this mistake I made. Through out this build I have always admitted mistakes.
I can't explain how this happened. Since it is running hotter than usual I went to pull the thermostat to see which one was in it. Well….....there wasn't one. Oops. The only thing I can think of is I was mocking up the hoses and never bought one. Problem seems to be fixed.

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
At least it was a simple fix. With all that you had going on, it seems like that could have easily happened.
Congrats on the the Best of Show award. Did the spinner coming off do any damage to the bed side?

Thank you wolf. I'm glad this build can help so many people in several ways. You will find your own truck before you know it. Looks like your really close. I can't remember or not if you know about our meet and greet October 11 in canton. i'd go but i'm in Iraq at the moment, lol. i'll be back in Nov. |

Alan,
Your truck ROCKS! And I can never seem to get that cooler out of my mind!!! Soooo cool! If we ever happen to get the chance to meet up, you had better hide that thing,...and hide it well, for your own good!!!

Maybe this pic will help. I mounted this panel between the front legs of the jump seat.

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
Great idea! So, I'm guessing that you had to account for the height difference between the front of the center hump and the back before you flipped the legs inward. Also, did you mount the feet directly to the floor? I'm thinking that this may be what I do too.
Do the feet feel pretty safe (as in the weld won't break in a collision)? Should I do a lap joint and plug weld, then stitch weld the joints? I'm sorry for so many questions; I am a wood-worker, not a metal fabricator. I'm learning thought! |

It's been a while since I've done this mod. I did a lot of test fitting. My seats are power and I centered the range of motion up/down and front to back while fitting everything. That way it could be adjusted somewhat to another driver if that need ever arose. I did a lap joint weld and bolted on top of carpet with reinforcing plates under the floor similar to the factory except bigger plates.
