I made a wastebasket out of a paint container cuz the ashtray is useless with my iPod sitting in it all the time.

Took the truck for a little spin to check out the tires and I hear ticking. Time for diagnosis.

rehung paasanger side door and front fender after rebuilding front door pillar.lined everthing up. now its time for cab corner inner outer rockers rear pillar repair and cab floor patches. other side needs done too.sometimes it seems like you get a lot done, then the next time you wonder how long its gonna take to finish it.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Took a few more baby steps on my truck today.
I wire brushed the rain gutter and rear cab upper seam above the back window, then sprayed rust stop stuff in them. I used the stuff that O'Reilly's store has. I am still having problems getting my act together, but I finally decided to start at the top and work my way down.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Test mounting my new Torq Thrust wheels that I got from my brother who had them for his truck which was wrecked almost 8 years ago. Wheels have just sat in the boxes and never been mounted!
20x10 for the rears, and 18x8.5 for the fronts. I had 2 Nitto Invo 295/35/20 on my Impala project, so I dismounted one of my Coys and put the Invo on the Torq Thrust and mounted to test fit. Still deciding if the backspacing is right....

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Since I am "officially" done with the back half (shortened the frame/box, installed lowering coils, installed 2" lowering blocks (shooting for 6" total drop), installed new/improved/relocated panhard bar, relocated upper shock mounts, flipped the trailing arm brackets, beefed up my trailing arms (skip welded and new poly bushings), cleaned and painted all that, built/installed 3" exhaust system with X pipe/DynoMax 2 chamber mufflers routed through the mid cross member and finished up blazer tank install) I ordered my 2.5" drop spindles and 2" lowering coils...yesssss. Time to turn it around in the garage and rip the front end off. Here...we...go! hahahahaha...

Have my rear 24's on my bagged truck. The engines out for freeze plug replacement and it'll be going back in this weekend.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Try to take off the spare tire holder, couldn't get the bolts to come loose. Sawzall and about 2 minutes and it was off. Took the old nasty headliner out, cleaned the carpets, installed spectre air cleaner with top filter, new floormates, replaced all the lights. Ordered a new piece of trim for the door with clips, saddle seat cover and new dash pad from lmc.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I finished putting on mudflaps today and put another hour into buffing grill. Should have it all buffed out in another 2 hours. Tough getting 40 years of oxidation off that aluminum. I bought some seals for the door windows and the clips are not located in the right place. Most perplexing. Will have to call LMC and see what is wrong.I will finish grill thursday and install grill and front bumper and take truck for maiden voyage. Finally!! Cant wait.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Well I started by washing it good for the cruise in tomorrow. Then I worked on the drivers side door. I got it where it closes pretty good now but the back bottom still sticks out some. I have new door handles to install, just got them today from Tim Christian , thanks they look great and GM to!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Latley I have taken the front bumper off my 69 and started sanding it down and is soon to repaint it White, like it is already. Put some floor mats in, Got my Ipod hookups put into my stereo. Added four Kicker speakers in. Tuned the carb, so Its burning rubber now. Next is to find out why my Posi isnt kicking in, and also about to replace the rear main seal and take valve covers off and paint them and new gaskets.
