Now you went and made me remember Fran. She was a cute little daddy's girl I dated summer of '76. She drove a yellow 4spd 440 6-pack 'Cuda (and so did I ). Talk about a handful! Now, about that car...

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

A couple of "Cuda" experiences.....Our neighbor next door when I was growing up was 3 years older than I. In 1970 he bought a brand spanking new Cuda 440/6pak/4spd white with a black vinyl top. I was in absolute awe of the acceleration that car had, in other words...yes I lusted for his car. I ran into him several years ago and he told me the car went away after he got married and a baby was on the way, it was all about economics.

Sometime in the mid 90's a local collector car dealer had a low mileage 70 Hemi Cuda/4 spd on his sales floor, orange with a black vinyl top Price was $40k. I knew exactly where the price on this car was headed, no where but up.....way up. 652 Hemi Cudas were built in 1970 with 14 as convertible's which are now in the million dollar range.
I had the first of three children getting ready to start college and it just was not doable...it's all about economics, timing and priorities for us working stiffs.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

Picked up 20 sheets of new 3/4 plywood this morning off of marketplace for $400 . Already used three pieces for shelves . Ended up I knew the guy from town he owns an excavation company and was building a shed on his propert he ordered 20 sheets of 1/2 inch and they delivered 3/4. They ended up getting him the right plywood but the delivery guy didn’t have a pickup slip . And they ended up telling him to keep the 3/4 .

I put this sign on my bathroom door. If you ever went in there after me you would know that it's accurate. Number 2 is the worst after some refried frijoles.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

I'm very disappointed that my favorite beer (ale), Fat Tire, will no longer be offered in bottles...WHAT??? I told my liquor store guy they shot themselves in the foot, I'll have to start buying something else. "It isn't the same?" he asks. Not at all! Argh!! He said what I have is all there is, but I was comfortable spending the money for more than a 12-pack. Next time I came in I was delighted to find a 12-pack still in the cooler. He said after that last visit he found the distributor had 5 cases left and he got them all. I got paid for a job the next day, so I went back and bought a couple cases to stash. the next day I decided to get another case . I really like that stuff!

Huh, I thought I was smiling. Oh well, I'm not to proud to put up my fugly mug. I'm not as young as I was when I joined this site going on 20 years ago

One would be a nice touch in a show vehicle door jamb. I have some Pennzoil ones somewhere
