Re: Post your C/L finds for everyone to enjoy!
This guys has had these pieces at the last few local swap meets I have been to and it looks like he still has them Not that bad of price for all the trinkets combined to do up a 235.
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...14019028855796 I'm not sure what the going price for Wayne valve and side covers are for a 235 but think that would eat most of his asking price up. Looking it up the normal asking price for the Wayne valve and side covers are 340.99 https://www.ecklers.com/chevy-valve-...All%20Products

Re: Post your C/L finds for everyone to enjoy!
I'm thinking that is the very rusted out chopped Model A sedan body that I looked at at his place several years ago. From that distance it really looks nice but get up close and it has tiny rust holes all over some of the panels. He wanted 800 for it then. It has one of the nicest chops I have ever seen on a Model A sedan though.

Can't blame a guy for trying! It'd make a fun little mini-motorhome.

I won't comment further, and I shouldn't have even commented to the extent that I did. This forum is about the trucks.

Re: Post your C/L finds for everyone to enjoy!
Well I am so old that I am pre PC and the "short Bus" that I rode to schools was bought by the district to run 24 miles down US 97 from Toppenish to the Howagner sheep ranch to pick up the Howagner kids and Two kids who lived on another sheep ranch closer to town. Then it picked up kids at three more places including my sister and I and hauled us to school. There weren't even special ed classes or classes for learning disabled in those days. That bus looks a lot more solid than most of the roached out ones I see for sale around here.

Argh, I got sucked into a political discussion. I'm already on Liz's probation list; this is one of those times when I wish you could delete your messages on this forum!
How about a pretty picture of a truck instead? Last edited by MiraclePieCo; 09-21-2020 at 05:09 AM. |

I'd rather discuss the simple fact that if you really want to sell something, take decent photos of it.
Can't tell if it is "patina or cancer on the edge though. https://yakima.craigslist.org/pts/d/...200269155.html

Not a fan. Body lines look humpbacks. Lots of work went into it though.

Not only work, but the seller claims it took THREE cabs to make it.

that would be a cool place to start a build. but the lines look off - like it got squished in the middle.

Re: Post your C/L finds for everyone to enjoy!
Yup. The line across the roof is straight but the line at the bottom of the doors is curved upward on the ends. They got the doors wrong.

Re: Post your C/L finds for everyone to enjoy!
Compared to the red truck that Rich at Purple Monkey Kustoms built in FL that cab does seem a bit off alignment.
