1979 Unrestored Original
I bought this truck about 2 years ago with 8,600 miles. At first I thought the add in the paper was a misprint. It's certainly nothing special but it is un-molested. Spare has never even been out, ash tray never had a cigarette, etc.
Air cleaner element and battery are the only things not original under the hood. I know the tires got to go, but they are 26 years old. I'm currently preparing a set of ralley wheels for it. Last edited by geunther; 04-27-2005 at 12:30 AM. |

My Ride
This is my 78 Step Side which I have owned for over 20 yrs. Has 5/7 drop, powered by 350 cu. in with hyd. roller cam, vortec heads, MSD ignition, edelbrock intake, hooker headers, Demon 650 mech. carb., turbo 350 trans. w/ shift kit, 3000 stall converter, 3:73 w/ Auburn posi. Best 1/4 mi time to date 13:37 @ 100 mph with drag radials. As you can see I spend more time working on my truck than I do landscaping.

Re: Post Your Ride 73-87 Trucks
i've got a thread or two on here, but oh well. still got stuff to do with her. hopefully i can keep her during college, and just work on her. maybe by the time i'm done with school, she'll be my dream truck!
also, i was wondering why the title of the thread is 73-87, but everyone is posting all years? just wondering... there are threads for the other years... just a thought. there are some GORGEOUS trucks here... makes me so jealous! namely some of those 60-66's.... thats my favorite body style.
