Re: post up your camping pics
apparentley they took the bridge out a few yrs ago, there went my plans, again...only way in now is quad or hike...
them ribbons are where the road used to be... now it's fish rearing ponds, we actually saw a couple 4-5 inchers splashin' & jumping around, which meant you know who is going in (cold, cold glacial water) |

Re: post up your camping pics
Nice as always Dawg!
Here are a few pictures from our Desert Trip 2016. I hope to write a trip report when I get some time… Overview… Headed to Kelly Point in the Arizona Strip…. The trail is well over 160 miles from the highway to Kelly Point but the last 30 miles is a rough ride and very THICK with overgrown. It was crazy. I had to breakdown and buy a new buffer when I got home. We got home on June 18th and the K10 still hasn't been cleaned yet but the Burb is all cleaned up. Life and work has just been crazy busy. Seems like I don't have time to do chit anymore That heavily overgrown road takes you to this beautiful spot! We didn't see a sole for a few days. It was great! Somewhere North of Page off some trail that leads down to Lake Powell. This was later in the trip as we started migrating back to Colorado Tons more pics once I get time for a trip report

Re: post up your camping pics
Check out these scratches.. The K10 has taken a beating before but not quite this bad. The Burb having single stage paint was actually worse but the white color hid it well.
My new friends….. within 3 hours the Polar Bear burb was looking better than it ever has since I’ve owned it. I’m confident the K10 will shine back up as well plus that Quasar Blue hides scratches very well. We laid a lot of clear on it back in 1998 when it was painted for this very reason. Oh, and the K10 needs a new grill. It got broke to bits but I was able to ziptie it back together to look halfway presentable

Re: post up your camping pics
Did the same to the 2000 Suburban a couple weeks ago, along with getting all kinds of brush debris in the vehicle. The weather was way to nice to have the windows up! I'll post a picture later.

Re: post up your camping pics
my son was with grandpa today, so me & wifey (and of course dawg ) went scouting for a camping spot for holidays next month. we headed out to Mehatl creek, up beside the Nahatlatch valley, couple hundred miles away.
you have to pass threw part of the Nahatlatch to get there. the far end of nahatlatch lake, a huge rock hanging over the cliff, makes for nice pictures.. |

Re: post up your camping pics
i think we may have found a camping spot for next month, crappy road down to it, will probably have to do a bit of rock stacking to get the quad hauler down there, & the hardest part will be getting 40 feet of truck & trailer threw 2 real sharp switchbacks. will definitely be putting this place on the short list...
made a quick run to the lower Mehatl falls, the upper ones are very spectacular, but it's a couple hr hike & don't have the time...and that water is C-O-L-D, comes down from the Mehatl glacier |
