Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Found out the custom kick panel enclosures I bought from a member probably won't work. So then I decided to get my new carpet layed out so it can try to flatten out. Anyone know where to get grommets for the dimmer switch that'll match?

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Drove it home from the mechanic. Now we'll see if the transmission holds up. They couldn't get it to act up at the garage and it was okay for the ride home.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I finally installed my mini starter and then came to a halt when I realised I had one more wire than I had terminals. Looks like I'll be starting to strip the top end off during the evenings ready to install the new manifold, HEI and loom this weekend.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
The other day I replaced all the bulbs all over the truck. Replaced the lenses front and rear. Still trying to find my misplaced NEW sidemarker lenses. Thanks GMCPauls for the lenses! Bought them like 5 years ago!
Today I fixed my FROZEN drivers side window regulator! It was frozen all the way up so I had to deal with all that too! Thanks to Classic Parts! 1. New drivers side window regulator. 2. New matching locks for doors, glove box and ignition! 3. Fixed drivers side door latch control rod. Missing control rod attachment bracket. 4. New stainless steel vent visors. 5. New High/Low beam switch! Now I have high and low beams! 6. Lubricated everything having to do with the doors, latches, etc etc. Had a fairly productive day seeing that is was almost 100 degrees today! lata CHRIS

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I fired up the "Lil Beast", took it out of the garage and drove it around the property just for the heck of it.
The "Lil Beast" is made up so many other years I can not remember them all, it is titled as a '67. It is a swb with a 250 backed by a granny 4 speed, sure fun to drive.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I sanded the bondo I put over the patch panel for my fuel filler hole then masked it and hit it with some rattle can primer. Then started work on my stereo system, got dark before I got too far.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Yippee! Drove mine to work today!!!!
I put it up on my lift and had a little personal time with it! Checked everything over and fixed a few things along the way and found some more things I am going to have to get took care of too! Always right!? I gave my upper radiator hose a little long life expectancy by making a rub guard for it! It was rubbing on my altenator bracket. I tightened my fan belt that was squeelin when you got on it. It is better but I am thinking a new belt is in order! I greased the entire front end and man it needed it! Aired up the tires they were all sitting on 20psi! Lubricated the shifter and clutch linkage while I was under there. Inspected the whole underneath of the truck. Looking really great under there. VERY VERY SOLID! I am very happy with everything. Also realized I am going to need to replace the spark plug wires. My small block is missing because the wires a crap and grounding out on the exhaust manifold. Not surpised..Just another thing I need to do! lata CHRIS

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Cut out four new replacement panels for my headliner in the burb.
Then spent a day and a half trying to make them fit right... Still not done, since the heat of the day wiped me out and I was making to many mistakes. So I cleaned up, and planned to pick up where I left off real soon.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Just about got my stereo ready for the final install. Made pods to mount my 5.25" speakers to my kickpanels Friday and bondoed them. Sanded and primered then painted them yesterday. Then made some tweeter mounts out of stainless and mounted them to the bottom of the dash. Kinda looks like a gauge mount but it works. Also made mounts for the crossovers to hide them under the dash. Ran some of the wiring, just gotta get some screws to mount the 5.25"s and the amp then I can start wiring. Can't wait to start rockin out
So close to the end of this phase that I can't wait, I've been thrashing every night for who knows how many weeks. I'm sore and worn out but it's all worth it, I hope lol. Love this thread btw.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Changed the tranny fluid and cleaned it up a tad.
Changed the rearend oil and cleaned/painted the diff cover while it was apart. (So far it looks like I fisxed the leaking rearend) Took a nice cruise with the family to the beach.
