Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
Ok heres some updates on the front inner fender install. What a PITA this has been! First off the inner fenders are very rough cut and need a lot of trimming/fitting. Ive probably had these things in and out and fenders off at least 25-30 time each side!
I was told these were going to be trim to fit so I'm not really suprized but still a lot of work. Heres a few pics to start. |

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
I used the supplied templates to get an idea of how much to cut out but I ended cutting out a lot more but it was a good start.

Once the fenders were off you can see some of the trimming to get the inner fenders into place on the truck.

Next up is the drivers side and that should be fun with the steering shaft and brakes etc...

Project looks great! I have those same inner fenders for my project. Not installed yet. They are REALLY heavy. I'm going to stay tuned for your driver's side.

It really does look fantastic! Just think of it this way, the next time you do it, it will only take 1/2 as long.

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
OK made some progress on the drivers side! Didn't take as many pics but still got a few to show the progress. Spent some extra time trimming around the shock and steering shaft on this one but still went a little faster than the pass side.

Man those look great installed! Just my opinion but they look so much better than the trailer type inner fenders that others are using.

Yes I would have to agree I prefer this style as well. They look a little more factory/period correct. |

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
Some more updates on the inner fenders! I managed to get them out and prepped and painted. I put a heavy rubberized undercoating on the insides then a coat of high build black primer over them to hide some of the imperfections and scratch repairs.

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
Sanded the high build primer and got a coat of matte clear on them. I also put a little trim on the inside of the fender to seal the gaps and give it a clean finish. (bad pic) and she's ready for front end assembly again!

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
That matte clear finish looks cool. Did you apply it directly to the sanded high build? If so what was the final grit you finished with?

Thanks!
I Made a little more progress on the front end assembly the past few days. I managed to get the fenders, cowl, hood on and aligned! Also finished up the grill and headlights hopefully for good! |

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
More progress! Since the truck was up on the hoist I figured it would be a good time to get the front bumper on and give it a rough alighnment. I also cleaned up some of the engine bay and wiring (last pic)

Progress is looking good!
Do you have any concerns about using the Accuair products now that they are out of business? What can you do if you need product support and warranty claims?
