I am close, looks like I will have to shim it up about 1/4 of an inch. I have something in my shop that will work.

While I wish it was dead on, I am glad I am not over...

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion

Got home and hung some exhaust tonight. I will finish up with the tail pipes tomorrow evening.

Took a video for sound, but it sucked... I will get my wife to do it with her video camera.

A lot quieter... ha.

I won't feel guilty about starting it up after dark now...

Should still have some rasp though.

I like them, they are inexpensive and they fit into my budget build. At the end of the day they make the noise we all want to hear.

Mufflers 35 each, straight stock of pipe 40, misc. clamps etc 20. Way less money then a custom exhaust shop around here.

It won't be long now.

I am waiting to see the paint done, I know that is coming any day.

Wreaking havoc on the streets of downtown Lindsay... ha.

No, I want to an interior in the truck, dash, door panels, new seat material (cover), carpet. I want to play around with some audio equipment and so on.

Would like to have the windows tinted and have my business logos put on the truck.

My good weather time is coming to an end, so the winter will give me some time to get everything ready for the spring.

I am trying to decide if I should go with a black interior, or brown.

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion

Got some tailpipes on, need to do some thinking on how I want to fasten the pipes at the back and how I want the finished product to be.

Here is how it sounds though...

Love this so far. I'm subbed! Have to say, it would be a heck of a lot easier to work under that than any other truck!

They will probably appear now that I have finished all the wheels now... That seems to be how things are going on a day to day basis... lol.

A bit of a repeat in the photo department, but I got the front wheels and lugs painted tonight.

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion

Bought some 45 degree elbows for exhaust. I want to have some staggered dumps coming out of the rear.

This is my idea, not sure how it will appear in the photos...

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion

Things to do...

Drill, align and bolt box to subframe.
Put new doors on.
Put front clip back on.
Paint truck.

Driver down the road!
