Re: Daverods project 66

The boss said I could take the rest of the day off to work on my truck. I love self employment Found a snake hiding from the heat inside my hot tub. What a surprise. My dog hates snakes and lizards and mail men and anybody when he's inside my truck. Putting brake pads on the back. Been working on getting the drums off for like two hours.

I was going to stop work, but didn't until 4pm. It hit 105 here, but buy tonight it went down to 89 already, and is getting cooler. At least it's not like Vegas. It stays real hot there at night.

Re: Daverods project 66

All I did was beat on my brake drum all day. Finally got it off.Had all my real work done by 10am. Had to put a railing around the top of the roof on a old two story house. Lady said it was called "a widows walk". I was glad to get the hell out of there. Welded an old cherry bomb on my truck. It's really mellow now. I did'nt weld all the way around so when I shut it off it ticks until it cools down. Guess I'll have to fix it.

Back when I did heating systems up in MA there was this house that an older lady lived alone in. While working in the basement you could here her talking to who she thought was Lucifer. She kept asking him if he thought we where looking at her. Couple days later she was admitted into the psych ward.

Re: Daverods project 66

When up to Yellowstone for the weekend it was nice and cool up there. Took the dog for a swim. Got home today finished putting brake pads on the rear. Also put on a new wheel cylinder. I bought two but only got one put one the old one started leaking when I was doing my pads. Ordered some jeep springs off ebay I'll wait to do the other cylinder and rear brake line when I put the springs on. Think I'll need to get different rear shocks? Pulled my rubber bumper pads off the front. Wish I would have left them alone. Now I'm thinking about cutting the stops off.

It's exactly on the mark. Besides a 292 is a Ford.
