No pics yet, but this past weekend I re-wired the underhood portion of Homer. No more long length wiring with power going into the cab thru a switch back out to the end user. Soo much more efficient with direct wired power source thru a relay with the switch only being used to activate the relay. Very cool. Course it took me wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy longer than it should have, but it's in and done now. Time to drop the distributor, plugs, plug wires, rad and make smoke pretty soon. Will post some pics when I get the time.

I have found... the quickest way to dis assemble a motor home....and dispose of the waste by products, is to simply park it in tornado ally during the season and comback a few hours later.

Yeah, good one. My buddy used to have a mobile home park. He found the fastest, cheapest, and easiest way to get rid of unwanted stoves or refrigerators was to sit it outside of the unit and put a sign on it that read;
"WORKS-DO NOT REMOVE". He swore it worked like a charm. He would show up the next day and it would be gone like the wind.
If he put a sign on it that said "Free" they would think it was a P.O.S. and leave it alone.

Nothing much to take pictures of, but yesterday I got the radiator in, the power steering lines hooked up, changed oil and filter, & the transmission cooler lines. (doesn't sound like much but took all day). Poured gas in the carb and she fired right up. Had the dizzy out to install the motor. Still gotta lot to do, but was pleased the timing was close.
I will take some pics later today, but until I start adding more parts or wheels, not too much to look at.
It hit a high of 117* yesterday and I have an outdoors shop set up. Low this morning is over 90*. Trying to get motivated to get out there is tough.

Progress is progress though, so I'll take it when I can get it.

Got a new job bud.. this one is a perm. position..
Less time to work on my own stuff.. but now money to spend on parts.. :-)

Friday wasn't too bad as it's the first day off of my 3 day weekend. Grind right through it. Yesterday, still hotttttttt. Keep moving, Today, having a hard time getting up the gumption to go back out there even though it is gingerly getting hotter as I type. Oh well, "Winters here are awesome".

Wee once again no pics. Not hardly worth the effort. I did get the radiator & power steering all filled up. Got the timing close. Hit the key & he fires right up. Uncapped headers sounds good.

Well, wish me luck boys. I have got old Homer where he will start up so this coming weekend my goals are to bleed/hookup/configure all brake lines to it will be able to stop. Next I want to install some shocks which will include installing/fabricating shock towers. Then I need to install the door seals and latch mechanizims do the doors will stay shut. Then, hopefully, I will be able to put Homer in gear and actually have him move on his own power. I started this project last December and to date he's never moved on his own yet. Hopefully (should) this weekend he goes into the truck category and out of the project category. My thought is that it's got to be able to start, drive to the corner, turn around and drive back on it's own to make the switch.
Should not be a problem to make it, but it's never as easy as it sounds.

Thanks Chris. Yeah I will be out there in the heat too but 106* sounds great compared to the 117* last Friday. Never in a million years thought I would ever say 106* sounds great, but comparatively it does.
I might stop by this weekend if I go out for parts over your way. Good excuse to cool off in the trucks AC. Like to check out your project anyway.
