So we are now home and feeling a lot more rested up from that long trip to LST, that was a serious blast!

There is still a ton of work on the dually to accomplish. I purchased my 4 link at the show. Jason from Thorbros brought a set of his dually 4 link arms, and I bought them before the show opened during setup day. He put sold on them and displayed them for the entire show. I hope he sold a bunch of them!

These arms are massive. It is hard to see in the photos just how huge they are. The bars as you can see are 2" in diameter! Each 4 link weighs 55 pounds each!! Trust me they are the nicest setup for a dually I have ever scene. The first pic shows 2.75" rear end mounts, but those were only for display at the show. I got a full set of 3.5" mounts for my truck.

So now it will be time to tear down the old set up and get this installed. Just a quick note. I have been asked by a lot of folks about the 2 link setup verses a 4 link. First of all the 2 link rode very nice, and preformed very well. No complaints. My main reason for changing is that I want a more consistent pinion angle, and I want something super strong to haul with. There are probably a lot of other smaller reasons, but those are the 2 main reasons right now.

I also purchased new shock mounting tabs. I am not sure if I am going to use them or not. They were a steal at the show, and if I don't use them here I can use them down the road.

As it turns out I was really impressed with the air ride set up I have, and this is after a lot of trial and mostly error... I had several friends ride in it at the show and each of them gave me their thoughts. Mostly it came down to how easy it was to use and how quickly the entire system reacted. Everything from the on board York, to the speed it filled the bags with the 1/2" valve and lines. Each of these guys have had several air ride vehicles, and all of them use electric pumps, and 3/8" valves and lines. Most of them came away saying that they were going to switch over to a York (if they could). I also heard that Accuair is working on a 1/2" valve at the show. If that is true then that was their weakest link in my book. Which is why I went to the 1/2" Airbaggit valve in the first place.

All in all I was very pleased with the on road response and feel of the Accuair setup.

That is good to hear on all accounts, so far the manifold size is my only concern. I have an accuair setup on my bagged single cab toyota and it works great but that truck doesn't have any weight to it so the speed is adequate. I have seen some videos with larger vehicles and they were all painfully slow. I don't wanna hop or launch or do anything funky but I do want it to lift up at a reasonably fast speed instead of what I have seen.

I'm glad your setup is working out, it will be interesting to see what accuair comes up with. Getting a 1/2" setup from them should be perfect as they can most likely increase the response/resolution that the ecu can handle, it will most likely be a balance of not exceeding the ecu's capabilities at that point.

I am jealous of the show! There really doesn't seem to be any good shows out here in the Vegas area which continues to surprise me. Makes me miss the time I spent in Texas.

LST looks to have always been a great show. Love Jason's stuff he puts out. I had his 3-link on my s10 and loved it. I heard that blue 67-72 C10 won best of show. Gorgeous build.

Built this for a friends short bed square body. eLevel in the ashtray! This is before any body work, but I think I like it in the raw... What do you think?

That's the same 4-link I'm running. It's stout. I researched a lot of different sets prior to settling on Thorbros. I'm really happy with how tough it looks.

That's good to hear! I looked all over and could not find anything that I thought was stout enough, but then I saw that system at last years LST. Starting on it today. Hope to have it all in by the end of the weekend. I'll take some pics as I progress.

I started the 4 link today. I got the rear end cleaned up and took off all the old mounting pads and tabs. Then I got it mounted back up to mock it up. Tomorrow I plan on having the 4 link tacked in.

Passenger side done! Well almost done, still have to weld up the bungs... Then it is on to the drivers side tomorrow. Wait till you see my new watts link I am making! Going to be killer!!
