Dude, I don't know what to say, at this moment I am trying to finish my truck...and not everyone elses...I will prolly refine the process & make them, but it may be a while before that happens...Just sayin. If you saw them in person, they are TOP-NOTCH!...I am not sure that any of the photos that Flip, or I have taken, look as good as the actual items!...They are sweet, and you will be pleased, even if it is 6 mos. to a yr. from now!...I am sure that you wont forget if you really want them...BTW, who else makes them?

I knew that you were looking at radiators from Champion, and although mine is a Camaro replacement for the LT-1, i am sure that they make a rad that will fit your requirements!

Over the past MANY weeks I have been working on a bunch of BS items that I didn't seem to seem to find much value in posting, but they all needed to be finished regardless.
Many of these items I didn't take any BEFORE photos of, but you can rest-assured that they were ugly before I started, none the less.
I don't want any of you to get the impression that I have lost interest in my build, or something. But a lot of 14 hr. days at work, backed by 1-2 hrs of wind-down (cocktail) time before heading to bed & starting all over, leaves very little time to accomplish anything major!

I have rebuilt my vent window assemblies in my "SPARE" time by drilling out all of the rivets, and sandblasting and/or wire-wheeling the components, then priming, & painting them before re-assembly.
I can honestly say that it was a ton of work, but they turned out like-new!!!
Note: don't be afraid to buy way-more rivets than you need if this ritual is in your schedule. You won't be sorry that you did...Trust me, I F'ed-up more than I successfully attached before I figured out that the hollow portion of the rivet was NOT deep enough.
It seemed that even though it was hammered as far as it could be, the two items being riveted together were still not riveted tight enough!
I found that the counter-bored portion of the rivet needed to be drilled deeper to accommodate peening it to the depth needed to provide a secure attachment of the intended items.
I only drilled the rivets about .050" deeper and they worked 100% better, but I had wasted a bunch of time, & supplies figuring this out!!!

A couple of weeks back, my buddy Dave (who I work for) said that he was going to the paint store. So I asked him that while he was there, could he get me some paint, activator and reducer? he said sure,what color? I said black...to which he said, we have 1-1/2 gallons of Imron, 2 cans of activator, and reducer in the paint cabinet, use it up! We never paint anything BLACK!
NICE!...Game-on! I will search for things to paint BLACK!
So here is the first of many batches of items that will be painted black!
I am also getting ready to pull the trigger on a bunch of Porterbuilt stuff, and I am sure that they will need to be painted also, or maybe powder-coated...
It is really hard to see how nice these items look, because they are black, but everything was blasted, and primed in advance, so they look almost look they were dipped in paint!

parts look great and i feel you pain on the wing windows. takes a lot of time even after the prep and paint. yours came out nice.

i too am fond of the wind-down time... going from office to shop is a process.

Thanks Clemdaddy, I still haven't got them both completed! As I was assembling them, the last gasket that I removed from the package was torn.
I am still waiting for a replacement...And they wanted for me to send the entire set back, when 3 of the 4 gaskets were riveted into place. Are you kidding me???

P.S. I gotta have a few minutes a day to relax, no-matter how many hours that I work!

I appreciate the offer, but things are really starting to come together for me in regards to paint work! My painter just had some time open up, and he wants to shoot a bunch of my stuff, In fact I may take some time off from work In order to better orchestrate this!

As you already know many of these items on these trucks were never painted from the factory!
I want this thing to have a very long life-span from here on out!
As long as it is in my hands, it will be pampered by me, but run hard from time-to-time!

I have gotten some additional paint work done on the body, but haven't taken any pics yet!
Maybe tomorrow I can get some pics, and post them!
