Thanks everyone! I'll pass the word along to Josh that yall like it.

He just told me that he sanded and buffed them out today, and that he'll be getting the cab ready for me to paint next weekend! The dash vents and door hinges are done as well, and he said that he sprayed the shift knob with the nice clear! Also, my dad said he's found a place where we might get the bed, grill, and hood media blasted for an awesome price.

Thanks a lot Rick!! The fender was just barely bolted up a little bit and both of them are now in my room at home lol. So yes we're going to get the doors on first so that it'll be a bit easier.

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window

I have never seen them but I hear you can buy a patch for the rear fender to make it round where the spare tire sits, is it worth it for the work involved or just change the fender to one without the tire dent.

Military trucks didn't have the spare tire gap in the fender so that would be perfect!!!

Thanks I can't wait to see the work tonight!

Well the doors didn't get painted because the weather's been all over the place and not cooperating... not sure about if any cab work's been done. Hopefully some updates to come tonight.

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window

alright guys sorry I don't have any pictures right now but I'll get some up later on. The front fenders look completely awesome. Josh did a great job. The doors are pretty much finished as far as paint goes. It was raining so we decided to remove the rear fenders and steps from the bed and cut back the exhaust pipes and install the tips with the pretty cool clamps that came in. Taking the fenders off took much longer than expected, just like pretty much everything else that's ever been done on the truck. I won't be getting the cab painted this weekend but everything will be ready to fly together when we get to that point. I think that's about it.....pictures tomorrow!

So here you are! Here's the booth that was set up that was weathering heavy rain and hail. Both doors were cleared and looked awesome but when they sat overnight...dew settled in (this had not happened to the fenders), and left them looking kinda foggy in the morning, even when the dew was wiped off... When we tried buffing a section out, it'd look great but under direct light there was still a cloudy look. So either we'll have to sand back the last coat of clearcoat that somehow got messed up by the dew and hope it works, or let it sit a while and hope it goes away. (read that this would work?) If any of yall have had experience with this, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Man, I'm sore today from working those fenders off!

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window

The exhaust looks kinda goofy with the bed off, but I think you get the point! We had measured the length of the exhaust to trim off before taking off the fenders/steps. Once they were off, we had better access and cut them down and put the tips on.
